Celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Humanae Vitae

“If we look at marriage and family, we see that they are not invented by man.
The Creator is God and if we want them to function well, we must follow the Creator’s
instructions. In this way we will be on the right path, because God knows what is good for us.”
Cardinal Francis Arinze.

Christian Meert describes this presentation as a sort of instruction manual for man
and woman enabling them to understand their dignity as God’s beloved creatures,
showing the beauty in their differences and helping them see how to function better
together.

Starting from the two Creation accounts in Genesis, he will examine the vocation of
humanity as a whole (1st Creation account) and of man and woman in particular
(2nd Creation account).

• How, with the Fall, man and woman failed their vocations
• Why Paul speaks so specifically to Man and Woman in his Letter to the Ephesians,
ch 5, and what he means.

Christian Meert and his wife Christine have been married for 30
years and are dedicated to the building of strong Catholic marriages.
Their marriage preparation programmes, endorsed by the Archdiocese
of Denver, USA, are deeply rooted in JP II’s Theology of the Body.
