January Character Trait is With the beginning of 3 rd Quarter comes the beginning of a new Integrity!! quarter of earning SOAR bucks. We have been re-teaching our Doing what is right even when no school-wide expectations and will continue to reinforce positive one is watching!! behavior by rewarding students with SOAR bucks. These SOAR bucks will allow students to gain entry to the BIG EVENT at the end Weekly Quizzes & Work (week of Jan.10-14) of the quarter. This quarter students need to earn 6 SOAR bucks in order to attend. Ask your child what they did to be a Safe, Friday ~ Math Check Up, Spelling Test, Reading Skill Assessment Outstanding learner, who is Always respectful and Responsible. Daily- Reading towards 100 minutes for the week, Let’s SOAR!! DLR
Great Start to the New Year!
Future Plans! We have had an unbelievable start to the New Year. Everyone Jan. 17th No School-Martin Luther is working hard and putting forth their best effort in King Jr. Day (2ND Snow Day) everything they do. We would like to encourage these Jan. 25th Boot Camp behaviors to continue throughout the remainder of the year. Jan. 27th Tropical Thursday Please remember to continue to encourage responsibility and Feb. 11th Valentines Parties sustained effort. Please continue to check and sign your Feb. 15th Spring Pictures child’s Brain Book each night. I hope that you are finding Feb. 15th, 17th,Parent/Teacher them to be useful and informative. I am already beginning to Conferences Feb. 18 th No School (3rd Snow Day) see improvement in grammar, punctuation, and handwriting. Feb. 21st No School We are also looking for continued reading practice. Students Mar. 10 th End of 3rd quarter/PBS should be choosing and completing chapter books on a regular Big Event basis. Mar. 14th-18th Spring Break Mar. 29th Boot Camp Our Caring Kid for December is: Mar. 30th-Apr. 8th MAP Testing Lexi Carpenter
