Sausage Cheeseburger Pizza

1lb. Bob Evans Original


Recipe Sausage Roll
1 (12") prepared pizza
shell
½ cup yellow mustard
2 cups (8 oz.) shredded
mozzarella cheese
½ cup chopped onions
15 dill pickle slices
¾ cup (3 oz.) shredded
cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 425F.


Crumble and cook sausage in
medium skillet until
browned; drain well on
paper towels. Place pizza
dough on lightly greased
12" pizza pan or baking
sheet. Spread mustard over
dough; top with mozzarella
cheese, sausage and onions.
Place pickle slices evenly
on top; sprinkle with
cheddar cheese. Bake 12
minutes or until crust is
cooked through and cheese
is bubbly. Cut into thin
wedges or squares and serve
hot. Refrigerate leftovers.

Makes about 10 appetizer

CHEESY HAMBURGER PIZZA

Pizza Crust
Hamburger Pizza Sauce
1 c. shredded Mozzarella
cheese
1/3 c. grated Romano or
Parmesan cheese
1/2 c. sliced pimento-
stuffed olives

Prepare Pizza Crusts and


Hamburger Pizza Sauce.
Spread crusts with sauce.
Top with cheeses and
olives.
Microwave (high setting) 1
pizza at a time 5 minutes.
Makes 2 (9 inch) pizzas.
Pizza Crusts: Dissolve 1
teaspoon active dry yeast
in
3 tablespoons lukewarm
water (110 degrees in
bowl).
Stir in 1/4 cup warm milk,
1 tablespoon sugar,
2 tablespoons butter, 1/2
teaspoon salt,
3 drops yellow food
coloring and 1/2 cup sifted
flour.
CONTINUOUSLY:

Stir in 1/2 to 3/4 cup


sifted flour, or enough
to make a soft dough. Turn
out onto floured
surface and knead until
smooth. Place in greased
bowl,
turning over once to grease
top. Cover and let
rise in warm place until
doubled, about 45 minutes.

Punch down dough and divide


in half. Roll out each
half to 10 inch circle.
Brush 2 (9 inch) glass
pie plates with 1
tablespoon melted butter
and
sprinkle with 2 tablespoons
crumbs. Fit dough
into prepared pie plates.
Brush with 1 tablespoon
melted butter and sprinkle
with 3/4 cup dry bread
crumbs.
Cover and let rise until
doubled, 20 minutes.
CONTINUOUSLY:

Prick one crust several


times with fork.
Microwave (medium setting)
4 to 6 minutes,
or until crust is dry,
rotating plate 1/2
turn every 2 minutes.
Repeat with remaining
crust.

Hamburger Pizza Sauce:


Crumble 1/2 pound
ground chuck into 1 1/2
quart glass casserole.
Add 1/2 cup chopped onion
and 1 clove garlic
(minced).
Cover and microwave (high
setting) 3 minutes,
stirring once. Stir in 1 (8
ounce) can tomato sauce,
1 (6 ounce) can tomato
paste and 1/2 teaspoon
Italian seasoning.
Microwave 3 minutes.
SAUSAGE PIZZA

1 box Chef Boyardee cheese


pizza mix

Prepare crust according to


directions.
Brown:

1 lb. sausage

Spread crust in pizza pan.


Top with sauce in box. Next
layer Mozzarella cheese
slices to cover sauce. Then
layer sausage. Then top
with shredded Mozzarella
cheese.
For supreme pizza - add
chopped green pepper, black
olives, onions, mushrooms,
and anything else you like.
Then top with cheese. You
can also use half Cheddar
cheese and half Mozzarella
cheese.

Bake at 425 degrees for 20


minutes or until cheese
looks done.
DOUBLE CHEESE PIZZA WITH SAUSAGE

Pizza dough
Cheese - Cheddar &
mozzarella
Pizza sauce
Sausage

Make pizza dough. Roll it


into a circle. Put pizza
sauce on it. Then sprinkle
cheese on the sauce. Put
the sausage on top of the
cheese. Pop it in the oven,
take it out and you have
pizza!
SAUSAGE PIZZA SUPREME

1 sm. green pepper, chopped


1 lg. onion, chopped
2 sm. cloves of garlic,
minced
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 (28 oz.) can whole
tomatoes, undrained
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1 1/2 tsp. dried whole
oregano
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 (12 inch) thick or thin
pizza crusts (recipes
above)
3 c. (12 oz.) shredded
Mozzarella cheese
2 c. (8 oz.) shredded
cheddar cheese
1 lb. bulk pork sausage
1 1/3 c. sliced fresh
mushrooms
1/2 to 1 c. grated Parmesan
cheese

Saute first 3 ingredients


in hot oil in a Dutch oven
until tender; set aside.
Place tomatoes in container
of an electric blender or
food processor and process
CONTINUOUSLY:

until smooth; add to onion


mixture. Stir in tomato
paste, oregano, and pepper.
Bring to a boil; reduce
heat and simmer 1 hour or
until sauce is reduced to
about 3 1/2 cups, stirring
occasionally.

Spread sauce evenly over


each pizza crust, leaving a
1/2 inch border around
edges. Combine cheese;
sprinkle 1 1/2 cups cheese
mixture over each pizza.

Cook sausage over medium


heat until browned,
stirring to crumble. Drain
well. Sprinkle sausage over
pizzas.

Layer pepperoni and


mushrooms over pizzas. You
may add 1 (2.2 ounce) can
sliced ripe olives, drained
and 3/4 cup sliced green
onions, if desired. Bake at
CONTINUOUSLY:

450 degrees for 15 minutes.


Sprinkle with remaining
shredded cheese and
Parmesan cheese and bake an
additional 5 minutes. Makes
2 (12 inch) pizzas.
PIZZA CHEESE OR SAUSAGE

1 pkg. yeast
1 c. warm water (105-115
degrees)
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 tsp. salt
2 3/4-3 1/4 c. all-purpose
flour
Mozzarella cheese (big pkg.
or piece)
Italian sausage (from
Domenicks)
Pizza sauce (Passonelli)
Dash of oregano

Dissolve yeast in warm


water in 3 quart bowl. Stir
in sugar, oil, salt and 1
cup of flour. Beat until
smooth. Mix enough
remaining flour to make
dough easy to handle. Turn
dough on lightly floured
surface; knead until
smooth, about 5 minutes.
Place on greased cookie
sheet. Cover and let rise
until almost double; about
30 minutes. After it has
risen; punch and press
CONTUOUSLY:

dough down on cookie sheet;


covering all corner and up
sides.
Put as much sausage as
desired; (I usually use 2
sausage links). Use any
other toppings you want;
mushroom, onion, green
pepper, pepperoni, etc. Top
with cheese or just make
cheese pizza. Cook for 12
minutes or until brown and
bubbly.
PIZZA SAUSAGE AND MUSHROOM

1/2 lb. sausage


1/3 c. minced onion
1 c. tomato sauce
3 oz. can chopped broiled
mushrooms
2 tbsp. tomato paste
2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. biscuit mix
1/3 c. milk (approximately)
1 c. grated sharp American
cheese

Cook sausage meat in frying


pan until brown and
crumbly. Add onion and
continue cooking 5 minutes
more moderate heat. Add
contents of cans of tomato
sauce and mushrooms, the
tomato paste, sugar and
salt. Bring to boil, lower
heat and let simmer until
thick, about 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, combine biscuit
mix and milk to make soft
dough. Pat out lightly to
form 12 inch circle on
greased cookie sheet or
CONTUOUSLY:

pizza pan. Spread the


tomato mixture over the
biscuit dough evenly.
Sprinkle with the grated
cheese. Bake at 400 degrees
until biscuit if done and
cheese is melted and brown,
about 20 minutes. Cut in
wedges and serve
immediately. Makes 12
portions.
RED PEPPER AND SAUSAGE PIZZA

2 med. red peppers, cut


into julienne strips
3/4 lb. sweet Italian
sausage
1/4 c. olive oil
2 c. sliced onions
1 tbsp. chopped fresh basil
or 1 tsp. dried
1 prepared pizza dough
crust
2 oz. grated Parmesan
cheese
4 oz. grated Monterey Jack
cheese

Preheat oven to 425


degrees. Remove sausage
from casings. Cook in
skillet over medium heat
until no longer pink. Use
fork to break up large
pieces. Drain on paper
towels. Add more oil to
skillet and saute peppers
and onions until soft. Add
basil, salt, and pepper.
CONTINUOUSLY:

Let cool. Spread half of


pepper mixture over
prepared dough. Top with
half the grated cheeses and
then half the sausage.
Repeat layering. Bake until
topping is bubbling, about
15 minutes.
SAUSAGE AND PEPPERONI PIZZA

1/4 c. warm water


1 pkg. yeast
1 c. milk
1 tsp. sugar
1 c. whole wheat flour
2 c. white flour

Measure into bowl the warm


water and stir in the
yeast. When dissolved, stir
in the milk and sugar. Add
flour and stir until
blended. Press out on two
12 inch round pizza pans.
SAUCE AND TOPPINGS:

1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce


2 tsp. Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. grated Parmesan
cheese
1/2 sm. green pepper,
chopped
2 c. (about 8 oz.) shredded
Mozzarella cheese
1/2 lb. ground pork
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. sage
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. (about 2 oz.) sliced
pepperoni
1/2 c. sliced green olives

Mix tomato sauce, Italian


seasoning, and salt. Spread
sauce over dough. Sprinkle
with Parmesan cheese, green
pepper and Mozzarella
cheese. Brown ground pork
with seasoning, drain
grease. Put ground pork,
pepperoni and green olives
on pizza. Bake in 400
degree oven until cheese is
light brown, 20 to 25
minutes.
PIZZA PASTA

1 pkg pasta
1 pkg pepperoni
1 pkg mozzarella cheese
1 jar pizza sauce
1 lb ground beef
1 lb ground sausage

Brown ground beef until


done. Drain; set aside.
Brown sausage until done.
Drain; set aside.
Bring pasta to boil. When
done, drain and set aside.
In a large bowl, combine
pasta, pepperoni, cheese,
pizza sauce, ground beef,
sausage. In a large bowl,
stir until mixed well;
serve.
CHEESEBURGER PIZZA

1 (10 oz.) pkg.


refrigerated pizza dough
1 lb. lean ground beef or
pork sausage
1 (8 oz.) can pizza sauce
1 tsp. prepared mustard
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 med. onion, thinly sliced
4 slices American cheese,
halved diagonally
1/3 c. chopped dill pickle

Grease a 12 inch pizza pan


or a 13x9x2 inch baking
pan. On a lightly floured
surface, roll dough into a
13 inch circle for the 12
inch pan or (14x10 inch
rectangle for 13x9x2 inch
pan). Transfer to pan.
Build up edges slightly.
Bake in a 425 degree F.
oven about 10 minutes or
until lightly browned.
Meanwhile, cook ground beef
in a large skillet until
browned.
CONTINUOUSLY:

Drain fat. Stir in


pizza sauce, mustard and
pepper. Bring to boiling;
reduce heat and simmer,
uncovered, 5 minutes.
Spread meat mixture over
crust. Top with onion and
cheese slices. Bake 10 to
15 minutes more or until
heated through. Sprinkle
with pickle.

Makes 6 servings.
SUPREME PIZZA

1 Deep dish pizza crust


(follow directions on pkg.)
1 pkg. (3 oz.) pepperoni
1/2 lb. sausage, crooked,
crumbled & drained
1 lg. bell pepper, sliced
1 sm.-med. onion, diced
1 (3 c.) Mozzarella cheese
1 can mushroom
1 pkg. Canadian bacon,
chopped up
1/2 jar pizza sauce

Spread crust on greased


pan. Spread sauce on crust,
then put on onion, sausage,
pepperoni, Canadian bacon,
peppers and mushrooms. Top
off with cheese. Bake at
400 degrees until cheese is
lightly brown.
PIZZA LASAGNA

Lasagna noodles, 9
1/2 lb. hamburger and 1/2
lb. sausage or 1 to 1 1/2
lbs. hamburger
2 jars any kind of pizza
sauce
1 lb. Mozzarella cheese

1. Put noodles into rapidly


boiling water and boil
about 10 minutes; drain.
2. Fry hamburger - drain
off grease.

3. Add 2 jars of sauce to


hamburger and simmer until
needed. (Don't need to
simmer if you don't want
to.)

4. Layer 3 noodles in 9x13


pan, then sauce and
hamburger mixture, then
cheese. Repeat twice more.

5. Bake 30 minutes at 375


degrees. Let stand 10
minutes before cutting.
POTATO PIZZA

16 oz. frozen French fries


1/2 lb. bulk sausage (reg.
or Italian)
6 oz. Mozzarella cheese
(grated)
1 jar pizza sauce or
spaghetti sauce

Layer the potatoes in a


casserole dish. Add half
the sauce, cheese,
remaining sauce and the
sausage on top. Bake at 450
degrees for 25-30 minutes.
BREAKFAST PIZZA

1 pkg. crescent rolls


1 lb. bulk sausage
1 c. shredded potatoes
(thawed)
1 c. grated cheddar cheese
6 eggs
1/4 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. Parmesan cheese
12 inch pizza pan

Press crescent rolls into


pizza pan. Cook and drain
sausage. Put ingredients on
crust in this order.
Sausage, potatoes, cheese.
Beat together eggs, milk,
salt and pepper. Pour over
pizza. Sprinkle with
Parmesan cheese. Bake at
375 degrees 20-30 minutes.
PIZZA ROLLS

2 jars Ragu pizza sauce


2 pkgs. Mozzarella cheese
(sm. bag)
1 loaf frozen bread dough
Sausage or pepperoni (which
ever you prefer)

Thaw frozen bread dough.


Roll it out with a rolling
pin. Cut the dough into
triangles, medium size.
Roll out the dough again.
Spread pizza sauce onto the
triangles. Add pepperoni or
sausage. Cover with cheese.
Roll up, starting with the
widest end. Towards the
tip. Like a crescent roll.
Bake at 375 degrees until
desired darkness. Serve and
enjoy.
EASY KIDS PIZZA

Flour tortilla
1 tbsp. Pizza Quick Sauce
Grated cheese

TOPPING OF YOUR CHOICE:

Pepperoni
Sausage
Ham

Spread pizza sauce over


flour tortilla. Sprinkle
cheese over sauce. Add meat
or leave plain. Put in
microwave safe plate. Cook
on high until cheese is
melted.
SPAGHETTI PIZZA

1 lb. spaghetti, cooked and


drained
1 c. milk
2 tbsp. butter
2 eggs
1 lg. jar (32 oz.) pizza
sauce
2 1/2 c. Mozzarella cheese
1/4 lb. sausage, browned
and drained
1/4 lb. hamburger, browned
and drained
Pepperoni, green pepper,
onion, mushrooms

Beat eggs and mix well with


milk and melted butter.
Pour over spaghetti and
toss. Pat out in well
greased pizza pie pan. Pour
pizza sauce over spaghetti
crust. Place desired
toppings on pizza sauce,
making sure meats are well
drained. Cover with
Mozzarella cheese. Bake 35
minutes in 325 degree oven.
PIZZA ROLLS

2 jars Ragu pizza sauce


2 pkgs. Mozzarella cheese
(sm. bags)
2 loaves frozen bread dough
Sausage or pepperoni (which

BACON-CHEESE BREAKFAST PIZZA

Pastry for single crust 9"


pie
1/2 lb. sliced bacon
2 c. shredded Swiss cheese
4 eggs
1 1/3 c. sour cream
2 tbsp. chopped parsley

Roll pastry and fit into


12" pizza pan, 3/4" deep.
Press against pan sides and
trim even with top. Bake on
lowest rack of 425 degree
oven for 5 minutes. Gently
press bubbles down.
In wide frying pan over
medium heat, cook bacon
until crisp (or microwave);
drain and crumble. Sprinkle
bacon and cheese evenly
over crust. In a bowl,
lightly beat eggs with sour
cream and parsley until
smooth; pour over pizza.
Return to lowest oven rack
and bake for 20 to 25
minutes or until puffy and
lightly browned. Makes 4
servings.
PIZZA BREAD

1 lb. Italian sausage


1 (1 lb.) loaf frozen bread
dough, thawed
1/2 c. pizza sauce
1 onion, chopped
4 oz. pepperoni, sliced
1 (2 oz.) can sliced
olives, drained
1 1/2 c. shredded
mozzarella cheese

Brown sausage in skillet,


stirring until crumbly;
drain. Roll out bread dough
to 12 inch rectangle on
floured surface. Spread
with pizza sauce. Layer
with sausage, onion,
pepperoni and olives. Top
with 1 cup cheese. Roll as
for jelly roll, pressing
edges to seal.
Place on greased baking
sheet; cut vent. Sprinkle
with remaining cheese. Bake
for 35-40 minutes or until
brown. Cool slightly. Cut
into thick slices. This
easy recipe is excellent
for picnics.
DARLIN'S BREAKFAST PIZZA

Pillsbury crescent rolls


1 lb. sausage
1 c. grated Mozzarella
cheese
6 eggs
1/2 c. milk

Spread rolls on pizza pan


to form crust. Bake 5
minutes at 375 degrees.
Brown sausage, drain and
crumble over crust. Spread
cheese over sausage. Beat
eggs and milk and pour over
pizza. Bake at 350 degrees
for 30 minutes.
PIZZA CASSEROLE

1 big pkg. hamburger


1 lg. onion
2 jars Pizza Quick
1 lb. hot sausage
1 sweet pepper
1 pkg. thin noodles

Fry hamburger, sausage,


onion, and pepper together.
Drain grease off. Place
mixture in kettle; add
Pizza Quick. Simmer 25-30
minutes. Cook noodles.
Drain. Layer in baking
dish, beginning with meat
and sauce, then layer of
noodles. Place package of
Cheddar cheese over that.
Put another layer of sauce
and meat; cover with
Mozzarella cheese. Cover
whole top with pepperoni.
Bake at 350 degrees for 35
to 45 minutes. This can be
frozen but don't put the
pepperoni on until ready to
bake.
MACARONI AND CHEESE PIZZA

1 (7 1/4 oz.) pkg. macaroni


and cheese
2 eggs
1 can pizza sauce
1 sm. can sliced mushrooms
Browned Italian sausage
1 1/2 c. shredded
Mozzarella cheese

Prepare macaroni and cheese


as directed on package. Add
eggs, mix well. Spread into
well greased 12 inch pizza
pan or 9 x 13 baking pan.
Bake at 375 degrees for 10
minutes. When this is done
baking, remove and spoon
pizza sauce over macaroni
and cheese mixture. Top
with meat, mushrooms and
cheese. Continue baking 10
minutes until gold and
bubbly.
SAUSAGE, GARLIC AND MUSHROOM PIZZA

6 oz. sausage
Pam
12 oz. finely chopped
mushrooms
1/2 c. diced onions
6 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 c. evaporated skimmed
milk
2 tbsp. chopped parsley
1/2 c. shredded provolone
cheese
1/4 c. grated fresh Romano
cheese
1 boboli pizza crust or any
other premade pizza crust

Cook sausage in skillet


over medium heat until
browned, stirring to
crumble. Drain and dry on
toweling. Set aside.
Coat skillet with Pam spray
place over medium heat
until hot. Add mushrooms,
onions, garlic and cook 7
minutes. Add milk and
parsley, cook an additional
2 minutes.
CONTINUOUSLY:

Sprinkle provolone cheese over pie


crust leaving a 1/2 border.
Spread mushroom mixture
evenly over cheese and top
with sausage. Sprinkle
Romano cheese over pizza.
Bake at 500 degrees for 12
minute on bottom rack of
oven. Let stand 5 minutes
before serving.
PIZZA LOVERS DELIGHT

Thomas English muffins


Spaghetti or pizza sauce
1 pkg. sausage
Pepperoni or meat and
vegetable
Toppings of your choice
Mozzarella or cheddar - 1
pack shredded

Divide muffins. Spread with


sauce. Put toppings on and
cover with cheese. Bake at
375 degrees for 20 minutes
or until cheese is golden
brown.
BREAKFAST PIZZA

1 roll pork sausage


1/2 lb. hamburger
1 pkg. refrigerated
crescent rolls
1 c. frozen hashbrowns
(loose pack), thawed
3/4 c. shredded Cheddar
cheese
3/4 c. shredded Mozzarella
cheese
5 eggs
1/4 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. grated Parmesan
cheese

Brown pork sausage and


hamburger, drain off fat.
Separate rolls and place on
a round 12 inch pan (points
to center). Press sides to
form crust. Sprinkle with
potatoes, meat and cheeses.
Mix eggs, milk, salt and
pepper and pour over all.
Sprinkle with Parmesan
cheese. Bake at 375 degrees
for 25 to 30 minutes.
MINI PIZZAS

1 lb. ground beef


1 lb. hot Italian sausage
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. leaf oregano
1 tbsp. Worcestershire
sauce
1 lb. Velveeta cheese
3 loaves party rye bread
(sm. loaves)

Brown meats in pan. Pour


off grease. Add oregano,
Worcestershire sauce and
cheese. Stir over low heat

until cheese is melted.


Make sure meat is in very
small pieces. Spread on the
party rye and place on
waxed paper on cookie
sheets. Freeze. Then place
in plastic bags in freezer.
They can be taken from
freezer, put on cookie
sheet and baked at about
400 degrees. Makes a great
snack or hors d'oeuvres.
STUFFED PIZZA

1/2 lb. Italian sausage


1/2 lb. ground beef
3 1/3 c. Bisquick
3/4 c. cold water
3 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
1 (15 oz.) jar pizza sauce
Pizza toppings

Heat oven to 450 degrees. Brown meat, set aside. Mix baking mix
and water until dough forms. Divide into 2 parts, 1 lightly layer. On
surface dusted with Bisquick, roll larger portion into a 16x14 inch
rectangle. Fold into thirds. Place in 9x13 inch dish, unfold. Press
bottom and up sides of dish. Sprinkle with 1 cup of cheese. Cover
with 3/4 cup of pizza sauce. Add meat mixture and toppings. Cover
with 1 1/2 cups cheese. Roll remaining dough into 9x13 inch
rectangle.
Fold into thirds. Place over cheese in dish, unfold. Press bottom and
top crusts together to seal. Make small slits in top of crust. Spread
crust with remaining pizza sauce and cheese. Bake at 450 degree 22-
25 minutes or until crust is golden. Serves 8-10.
VEGETABLE PIZZA

2 pkgs. crescent rolls


2 (8 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese
1 env. Ranch dressing mix
1 c. mayonnaise
3/4 c. finely chopped green pepper
3/4 c. finely chopped carrot
3/4 c. finely chopped cauliflower
3/4 c. finely chopped broccoli
3/4 c. finely chopped ripe or stuffed olives
3/4 c. shredded cheddar cheese

Place dough flat on a greased cookie sheet or pizza pan, pinching


together seams to form crust. Bake according to package
instructions. Cool completely. Mix cream cheese, dressing mix and
mayonnaise. Spread on crust. Layer vegetables on top. Cover with
waxed paper and gently press vegetables into the cheese mixture.
Refrigerate overnight. Remove paper and top with cheddar cheese.
Cut into small squares and serve. This is very large, you can easily
cut the recipe in half.
