DROPPED D TUNING CHORD FORMS

ARPEGGIOS AND POWER CHUNKING

This piece begins with A5, F5, and G5 arpeggios. The chord arpeggios in this piece are played by barring across the
fourth, fifth, and sixth strings with the first or third finger of your left hand. For example, an A chord is played with your
third finger barred across the seventh fret on the sixth, fifth, and fourth string; an F chord is played with your first finger
barred across the third fret. The F5, G7, and D7, in measures 3 through 6 are played in eighth notes using a palm mute
technique. The piece ends with repeated variations in D. The effect of Drop D tuning is a low growling sound.
