’99 Lectures on Business Law’

By the grace of Allah Almighty, Mr. Rehan Aziz Shervani has written a book
titled ‘99 Lectures on Business Law’; it was published in 2009 and the same
year the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan evaluated its
substance and made it the part of its suggested reading for CA Foundation
Module ‘B’ paper ‘Mercantile Law’.
There are 6 writers in total; three Indians and the other three are
Pakistanis and Mr Rehan Aziz is the youngest of the all.
ICAP recommended the book and commented , “The book is written in
Lecture form and will be very beneficial for the students.
Comparative analysis of the comment may be made with the comments given by ICAP for the other
contemporaneous books. see
www.icap.gov.pk---go to link student—open link syllabus—than go to Paper
Mercantile Law Module B—recommended readings.

ICAP is considered bench mark in quality education in Pakistan; it recognized

the book because of the following features:
(1) It is a self explanatory book; a book that teaches like a teacher.
(2) It is written on the frequency which comes from teacher’s heart and
brain while delivering lecture; lecture rhythm that mesmerize student
and the teacher.
(3) It surfaces true spirit of the knowledge and disseminate information.
(4) About 700 legal dictionary meanings have been included to understand
the true frequency of the subject.
(5) Philosophical pattern has been followed to understand the
information.
(6) The book is free from hard and uncertain frequency.
(7) It is a real personification of the fact ‘ a student is not a vase to be
filled but a light to be lit’.
(8) Efforts have been made to catch the frequency of subject.
(9) The book is the sum total of tools required to understand the subject.
(10) In the beginning of lectures quotations have been produced to
make the student ponder in to the wisdom of people derived from
experiences.
(11) Examples from daily life has been used to make the difficult
concept easy.
(12) It is written in simple language.
(13) It reduces cramming and increases conceptualization.
(14) Basically this book is a brain of author that lives with holder of
the book.
(15) As English is second rather third language of students
therefore the book
provides meaning of every difficult word and avoids intricacies.
(16) The book tunes the student’s brain with the spirit of the
subject.

The book contains lectures on The Contract Act 1872; The Sale of Goods
Act 1930; The Negotiable Instruments Act 1881; The Partnership Act 1932.
The Law of Carriage; Labor laws………….

Mr. Rehan Aziz tried to write the lectures as is delivered by him in class
room. He tried that a student who does not have access to good teacher
must be attended and benefited through the book; the book is written with
the spirit that subject must be understood without the help of a teacher..
The book has given a new concept in the realm of legal book writing. He gives
this style a name “ A self explanatory book”; a book that teaches like a
teacher; a book that minimizes the need of a teacher; a book written on the
lay out of logical sequence of questions. The book is coherent in its
expression.

We claim our book is the best book for the students as it is written in
lecture form and is self explanatory and written on the frequency of lecture
as delivered in class room.

We offer our co-operation for the future endeavors of our nation. We are
committed to progress in the realm of knowledge and are pioneer in writing
self explanatory books.
The book is available at ILMI BOOK DEPOT, URDU
BAZAR. LAHORE
