SELECTED INVOCATIONS

In the Name of Allah,

the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Praise is to Allah, Who hears the supplications

and answers them; and blessing and peace be
upon the best of mankind, our Prophet
Muhammad ~, his family, Companions and
followers till the Day of Judgement.

The following are some selected supplications

(Du'aa) that are collected to be used by Imam of
mosque and others during Sujood, Witr and
upon finishing recitation of the whole Noble
Qur'an whether in Ramadan or in other months.
May Allah make these supplications beneficial
to everyone who utters them, He is the One who
hears and responds to supplications.

Allahumma inna nasta'inuka wa nastahdika wa

I nastaghfiruka wa natCIbu ilaika wa nu'minu bika
wa natawakkalu 'alaika wa nuthni 'alaikal khaira

~I ,I, kullahu, wa nashkuruka wa la nakfuruka. Wa
nakhla 'u wa natruku man yafjuruka. Allahumma
iiyyaka na'budu. Wa laka nusalli wa nasjudu, wa
ilaika nas'a wa nahfidu, narju rahmataka wa
nakhsha 'adhabaka, inna 'adhabakaljidda
bilkuffari mulhaqun.

o Allah! We ask Your help and guidance, we ask Your

forgiveness, we turn to You in repentance we believe
and trust in You, You are the source of everything
good for us, hence we are thankful and grateful to
You and leave those who commit sins and indulge in
disbelief. 0 Allah! We worship only You, and for You
alone we pray and prostrate; we strive to please You,
expect Your mercy and fear Your punishment, indeed
Your severe punishment will befall on the
blasphemers.

Allahumma iqsim lana min khashyatika ma

tahCllu bihi bainana wa baina ma'asika, wa min
ta'atika ma tuballaghuna bihi jannataka, wa
minal-yaqini ma tuhawwanu bihi 'alaina Allahumma ihna nas 'aluka ridaka waljannata, wa
masa'ibad-dunya, wa matta 'na, Allahumma bi na 'udhu bika min sakhatika wan-nar.
asma 'ina, wa absarina, wa quwwatina, abadan
ma ahyaitana, waj 'alhul waaritha minna, waj 'al o Allah! We ask You to be pleased with us, reward us
tha'rana 'ala man zalamana, wansurna 'ala man with the Paradise and we seek Your refuge from Your
'adana wa la taj al musibatana fi dinina wa la taj anger and the punishment of the Fire.

o Allah! Give us a share of Your fear to prevent us

from disobeying You, of obedience to guide us for the
way to Your Paradise and of conviction to relieve us
of the burdens of life. 0 Allah! Let us enjoy our
hearing, sight and powers throughout our life span
and make it a heritage afterwards. Direct our
revenge towards those who were unjust to us and
help us against our enemies. Let us not suffer a

mercy and Your forgiveness. We do seek complete
Allahumma akfina bihalalika 'an haramika, wa safety from all sins and a full share in all virtuous
deeds. We ask from You the success to Paradise
aghnina bifadlika 'amman siwaka. and deliverance from Hell.

whether secret or open and whatever You know
better of us. You are the One who knows what is to
come and what has already passed. There is no
God other than You.

mercy on us. We humbly lay our sinful selves at Your

and humiliation, and call You with surrendered necks,
humiliated souls and with our eyes full oftears.

Karami wal-Jud.

master to ask from but You. Who else can we call or
ask from while You are the Most Generous.

khairi kal 'amimi ya jawwadu ya karimu,

la tuhinna, wa zidna wa la tanqusna, wa sitna wa
la taqta 'na, wa athirna wa la tu' thir 'alaina,
wahdina wa yassirithuda lana.
We ask You to grant us from Your great favours and
not to deprive us from Your endless bounties. a

more and do not decrease it. Keep us related to You
and not cut off. Lead us to the right path and make it

o Allah! Purify our souls from hypocrisy, our

wastahdaka fa hadaitahu, wastan-saraka fa know the treacherous eyes and what is buried in the
hearts.

o Allah! Let us be among those who called You and

had their calls accepted, those Who asked for Your
guidance and were guided. Who sought Your victory
and were given, who relied on You and were sufficed,
and those who repented and got their repentance
accepted.
