Consistent with these requirements and based on information provided by UPR and its
scctditing agency, wit regard to separate accreditations, we have determined tbat cach
fof the UPR campuses must submit an application to the Department to participate inthe
Federal student aid programs authorized by the HEA as well as anyother programs under
the HEA.
‘Staff fom our School Participation Team has contacted Mr. Heman Veznueztl of your
staf to provide details snd assistance on the steps necessary to complete the submission
fof participation applications from each campus. Steff will also be asking for aditional
{nformation about the svike and its impact on te campuses as apart of the applications
toresume participation.
‘As noted above, because ofthe campus specific acreitation provided bythe Mile
Sates Assocation of Schools and Colleges (Middle States), each ofthe UPR campuses
rust apply separately to participate in the federal student aid programs. The Departent
fannot process an application for the University as singe institution unless your
‘sccreditation fiom Middle States recognizes that stuture. This would not rest your
sbilty to consolidate administrative functions, although each institution would sill be
responable for complisnce with ll applicable rules
{UPR has relevant information tht it believes affects our determination that your
Insitutions must eapply to resume participation in the Federal student aid programs, the
‘Department vil review thet information to soft changes that determination,
Sinoerly,
