and C2D E4400 2.0mhz, 1GB+1GB DDR2 667mhz Kingston RAM in 2ch mode, Floppy HDD D VD-RW Monitor etc, purchased 28th sep 2007 from krishnagar. The BIOS is AMI and Version 17.0 according to cpu-z. I see a BIOS update available on globalmsi site and I do this correctly. After sometime later I restart the Computer and see Mo nitor screen is black Floppy Drive LED ON with disk seeking noise. When a Floppy Disk inserted onto the drive The system gives 7 BEEP sometime it 5 BEEP (Angry with tension). With the help of BIOSMAN and MSI site I Create a Bootable Floppy (BIOS) from my friend's PC. From BIOSMAN INC!'s FAQ Q: What is AMI Quickflash and how do I use it? Q: How can I recover my system from a bad flash? From MSI http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=html&name=service_note#recovery # : BIOS Recovery Feature For AMI BIOS BIOS update .zip all 10 available files from globalmsi site of the Motherboard ( Quite relief) After that A7267IMS.Hx0(x=0-9) file rename to AMIBOOT.ROM and paste into a full Formated Floppy Disk. The disk insert into the Floppy drive and power the syste m it reads the disk about 40sec and give this on the screen(Angry and frustrated ) MSI LOGO LIVE LOGO ROM CHECKSUM IS BAD ROM DATA UPDATED DRAM DATA DESTROYED BIOS UPDATE FAILED SYSTEM IS HALTED In this case I use the motherboard's original BIOS version 17.0 which is A7267IM S.H00 and it fail. Then I use the last file which is A7267IMS.H90 and it makes t he motherboard live about 1.5 minute that means it is successful (King of World) . After that enters BIOS Setup Set it Default value and restart the PC when it b oot give 2BEEP and run very slow. Second time it gives 1BEEP and run normally, N ow Bios version is 17.9 according to cpu-z.
