What would you rather do Homeschooling or School
Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the worldNelson Mandela. This quote is one of the most inspiring quote that I could find as a true
statement and on which not many people think about. This quote states that education is the best
way to change the world and not war. When he used the word weapon in the quote it is not
referring to using education as a weapon but using education as a form to stop traditional war
and settle it another way on a negotiation table. So in this essay I will talk about two types of
education and which is better: studying at school or at home.
Going to school is better than home schooling because you will meet more students.
When you meet new people you will enjoy your learning at school more. And generally you
would meet more people at school with different points of view than at home. At school you
learn how to socialize better. There are some homeschooling groups but those do not happen
often and these groups do not get bigger then 10 student generally according to Homeschooling
vs. Public School . At school you have more teachers that can help you succeed. A normal
student that goes to school usually sees from 5 to 9 teachers a day but it depend on the day(Fast
Facts). When you are at home you usually have one of your parents teaching you or a tutor that
comes to your house. Even though students that study at home have lot of freedom on the time
table, they do not have lots of sports and usually don't have any team sports that schools offer
like soccer, basketball, volleyball and other sports.

There are some advantages to homeschooling. One of the good things is that there is no
peer pressure.Homeschooling groups are small and peer pressure is not so obvious by individual
learning there. You can stay at home and arrange your study time that fits you and your family.
At home you will usually have more time to yourself because you do not lose time going to
school and back. The amount of people that are actually homeschooled is only 3.4% of students
in the USA(Council for American Private Education) and in Australia it is 2.2%(How Many
Children Are Home Educated in Australia). So still public and private schools are more favorable
than homeschooling.
If you are a parent and you are looking that you get a better education than experience, I
would say homeschooling because home schooling students generally enter college with more
credits, better SAT and ACT scores and higher GPAs.(Writers, Staff) If children go to school they
might not have the best of the above but they might have a better experience in my opinion as a
school student.
To conclude going to school is better than homeschooling as it becomes easier for the
student. The best point is that the personal relationship with peers and with teachers is better at
school. But when it comes studying whatever way school or homeschool make a good weapon
out of it.
