-Point :
To prevent and avoid the problem of Baby Dumping, parents play a very
important role. As such, it is imperative that we must undertake whatever means
at our disposal to build a better world for our children. To achieve this, it has to
begin from the home. Children are too young to protect themselves and they have
to look up to their elders to take care of them. Here lies the vital role of the
parents. Besides fending for their children in terms of ensuring they are
appropriately brought up, parents must instil positive values in their children from
young to ensure they become responsible citizens. Parents should acquire
parenting skills to better equip themselves to bring up their children. They should
make every possible effort to spend quality time with their children. Instead of
abusing their children, the parents should show love and care for their offspring.
Mass media also one of the ways to prevent baby from being abandoned.
It is the nearest medium and the best way to communicate and educate
teenegers. It all about how to protect themselves and give useful knowledge to
avoid from involve in anything that can take them to this problem. Besides that,
the suitable sex therepists or psychologist could be presenters of a special

programme on sex education and set the stage for more personal discussions in
homes and schools. The media also should restrict entertainment programs that
can corrupt the morals of youth as films containing pornographic scenes that can
cause social problems are increasing rates thus increasing the rate of baby
dumping.
In addition, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and community
also play a role in helping the authorities to deal with the symptoms throw the
baby growing concern lately. NGOs can be used as a reference point for those who
are pregnant out of wedlock children as well as for guidance and protection, such
as Princess KEWAJA hostel. This is because they still need to be defended and give
them a chance to survive. NGOs must also provide and set up creches for their
plight of the innocent, such as PERNIM Protection Center. It gives parents a chance
to take back their right and responsibility for them.
All parties involved as parents, the media, NGOs and the community will
play a role in influencing children and adolescents. This is because teenagers have
a sense of want to try something new, by the responsibilities of parents, NGOs and
civil society must together provide a good role. Meanwhile, the mass media must
be of a good channel plan and does not cause adverse effects, especially in teleshaped channel action plan.
