Graphic design in action

This project consists of three components
1. Creating a portfolio of specialized photos taken by you, for your client and upload 10 to the Creative commons site correctly.
2. Create a logo for your client and write a 250 word essay to explain you design
3. Create a professional A3 poster for your client, using some of the photos from your portfolio and the logo you have designed
Part 1: Creating a portfolio of specialised photos taken by you for your client. Draft due 27/5/2016
You are to watch the videos on the techniques of using cameras and take 20 quality pictures for your client. Each photo must have meaning and purpose.
This is an opportunity to use your imagination and try a range of photographic techniques.
These photographs need to be saved in hi Resolution (Print) and Low resolution (Screen) individually with technical data on each picture. This needs to put on to
a weebly site you have created with a short explanation of its purpose and potential use. Use template online.
Part2: Create a logo for your client and write a 250word essay to explain you design
Design a logo using the design, develop and evaluate technique used in class.
Explain your analysis and syntheses process in 250 words or less.
Part 3: Create a professional A3 poster for your client using some of the photos from your portfolio
Create a poster in photoshop with some of the photos you have taken and explain in detail how the principles and elements of design was applied in the ITS Photo record work sheet with your photo information.
Evaluate your poster in relation to the CIPP principle by answering the following questions.
o What are the links between the logo and the content used?
o Is the content relevant to the event? How?
o How is the design and development process continuously evaluated?
o How do you rate your work against the CARP process? Give examples.
More marks can be gained if the poster relates to an actual event.
When completed upload to your ITS folder on your Google drive an optimised JPG and the Adobe InDesign/MS Publisher file. Also upload the completed MS Word document
with the requested information.
