Skills Analysis

The following will help me to understand the skills I possess and any skill gaps I may have.
Working effectively with others.

I believe through past experience I can work well with others, I have engaged in numerous group
projects through educational life and for the most part have developed my skills in doing this
effectively, I believe my approach to other team members is appropriate as well as the way I give
direction in a position of leader ship and carry out team work. I am very humble and open to cooperation and am able to adapt to others needs and make sacrifices wherever necessary.

Communication.

Currently I can communicate quite well, I can express my ideas in depth at a range of angles
considering all positions and outcomes, and I can also explain things of detailed complexity too. In
terms of the other side of effective communication I am also a good listener of others when it comes
to their ideas which I believe is derived from my developed characteristic of patience, when listening
to others ideas I fully try to be enthusiastic as encouragement and motivation, and when formally
discussing ideas with others in whatever setting I am fully confident.

Judgement and decision making.

I believe I can make effective and positive judgements and decisions, for example when in crowded
deadlines I have developed into a professional when deciding which assignment to do for the best
use of my time. Im also efficient and careful in planning which information I believe should be
included in any projects or work I carry out, in this my research is double checked and authoritative
before I extract information, then when I conclude on my work I make decisive judgements with in
depth evaluations.

Persuading and influencing.

I believe in relation to my effective techniques of communication and critical thinking that I can be
very persuasive when influential situations come; I can persuade opposing individuals to accept my
arguments with indisputable points of evidence and logic, alongside a leadership perspective from
myself. In this in team work for example I can be persuasive in motivating individuals encouraging
them to be determined in reaching their goals, with empathy and simultaneously giving a vision.

Ability to solve problems.

When it comes to solving a problem with my ability of this I can think critically, meaning I can analyse
in depth solutions and their possible negative outcomes against positive and weigh all elements in
comparison, in analysing I can see whether various solutions lack creativity even when solving a
problem and if they are suitable for the situation at hand, for example in team work where I take a
position of leadership I can think critically in solving the issue of lacking team members with
outweighing all different possible solutions to solve the problem.

Time Management.

I am excellent in time management, through past experience of having exam and coursework
conflicting closely in deadlines I have adapted techniques to merge my way around these obstacles
to success. For example to ensure my assignments are done on time I will make a list of priority
what is of most importance then work on that assignment first and then when the deadline comes for
another for an entire day I would focus on completing that assignment and when done I will return to
the assignment of first priority, this way I can manage to meet my deadlines with the least amount of
inconvenience.

Use of IT.

Currently through life experience I am very good with the use of IT, in the primary areas of Microsoft
software I am proficient, and for example with Microsoft Word I am able to word process documents
easily. However in certain other areas of Microsoft software such as excel I am not as experienced
and would require more skills training in order to use it flawlessly to create charts and graphs with
numerical data. Other than this I consider myself near to an expert with IT skills.

Achieving your goals.

Im very good in setting out to achieve certain goals, in order to obtain determination for these goals I
tend to imagine the big picture and long term benefit and end outcome which not only gives me
determination to achieve a goal but also keeps me committed in exerting my energy into achieving it.
I also tend to evaluate my overall ambition in life and from this have will power to do what I need to in
order to progress.

Specialist subject knowledge

Overall my goal and outcome out of my career is too become an accountant however currently at
hand I am not fully know ledged on the subject knowledge, meaning I am not a genius with intellect
when it comes to the subject of accountancy and would say I know the basics, however I will
progress and my knowledge will quickly develop as I pursue my degree.

In which skill can you offer plenty of examples where you are using the skill?

Communication I could offer numerous examples of where I use the skill, for example as previously
mentioned its most effective on my part during team work how in other instances it can be even
more so effective, for example during an interview im aware of the formal situation at hand and what
kind of communication is required, in this would be style, language and tone.

In which skill do you have no evidence?

I cannot show any evidence that I am able to work effectively with others, this being due to the fact
that I can only show evidence in demonstrating it in person while working in a team on a project,
other than that I can only give my word that from past experience I can assure than I am very
effective in working with others.
