Composing Processes
We cannot be denied the benefits of the composing processes. Writers
know that the composing processes is one of the best strategies that they can
use when they write. When the writers have the chance to draft, review,
collaborate, revise, rewrite, reread, and edit their writing, this processes definitely

is a helpful for them. Since I was a kid, I have always find it struggle to write
as others. But then I figure out that every writers cannot write without
outline to organize his thoughts. Since then I start to write my ideas and
outline my thoughts every single time before writing. I guess I was lackey
enough because I learn this processes since I was a kid. I think the
composing processes can be useful in some other cases to organize the
content as well. In this days, news media, for instance, are fully rely on the
composing processes. They always review and edit every single line they
wrote before they display them on the news.
Critical Reading
When we are talking about criticism that mean we are talking about an
important part in the communication. I believe that criticism plays a big role
in our society as long we use it in the right way. Criticism itself needs to be
clear, without courtesy but with a kind way. In addition, it should help the
recipient, shows him his errors, gives him suggestions, etc. In the critical
reading most writer accept the criticism as long as they are receiving
constructive criticism. There is nothing wrong to give or to receive a

criticism. If they do not want to help you, you will not get criticism from
them. In other words, readers who want to improve your writing or thoughts
will definitely give you constructive criticism. I remember that when I started
to learn English, I have practiced critical the writing of my classmate and vice
versa. We were always sitting together to get benefits from each other.
Everyone in our class should have done the same as us, if they want to get
benefits. In this point, I can say that we need criticism in the most fields such
as the educational field.
Part 3
The literacy project corresponds to my learning about composing
processes. This project helped me practice the first bullet under the
description of composing processes (Develop flexible strategies for drafting,
reviewing, collaborating, revising, rewriting, rereading, and editing). The
remediation project consider as the first project that I did in this course. The
purpose of this project was write five snapshots. I used the Invention Draft to
complete this project after I review, reedit and rewrite. The first draft had
many grammar mistakes and misspellings.
The letter to instructor corresponds to my learning about critical
reflections. This letter helped me practice the first bullet under the
description of critical reflections (Understand that reflection is a necessary
part of learning, thinking and communicating). I wrote a letter that illustrate
to the instructor what is my weak/strong part and which of the five goals I
have achieved.
The remediation project progress corresponds to my learning about
knowledge of convention. This project helped me practice the first bullet

under the description of knowledge of convention (Gain experience


negotiating variations in conventions by genre, from print-based
compositions to multi-modal compositions). The remediation project consider
as the second project that I did in this course. The purpose of this project was
to transform my literacy narrative and deliver it through other modes of
composing, using any combination of audio, video, image, and text. This is
actually my first time that I transformed paper into PowerPoint file and then
presented it to others.
My response on Summary and Response to Murray corresponds to my
learning about critical reading. This response helped me practice the first
bullet under the description of critical reading (Use reading for inquiry,
learning, and discovery). This response was the first response that I did in
this course. While I was reading the article, I learned that there are three
terms to emphasize the essential process of discovery through writing
prevision, vision and revision. The revision process has two principal forms
Internal and External. The Internal revision is all about the writers and to
make them sure they review their drifts as well as their language, content,
form, and voice. The External revision gives the writer expanded range about
what information do audience have.
