Create a QR Code Hunt


Type the information next to each prompt.
1. Choose a topic: Solar System
2. Identify the standards and write objectives:

Objectives: Being able to understand and distinguish the differences between


different planets. Knowing the relative size of the planets and knowing the relatives
distance of each planet from the sun. Knowing the suns function and traveling of
light also helps.
Standard 3 1.A. Develop and communicate a scientific explanation addressing a
question of local relevance about resources generated by the sun or Earth (DOK 1-3)

3. Determine how you want students to proceed through the QR code


hunt and what they are to do with the information or what they are to
do at each clue. Describe your method here:
Hunt Begins:
1. A point system will be given. One point is given to each group who finds
each QR code. Two points will be given if answering the question right.
The group with the most points. The teacher will give students the first
clue on where to find the first question. The clue is: This is where we eat
our lunch.
2. Once the students find the QR code and answer the question the next
clue will be given. The clue is: This is where one is able to go to a place
full of books and read in peace.
3. The next clue that will be given to where the next location of the QR
code is: This is the place where one can run around and have fun without
running into anything inside.
4.The next clue for the students to follow is: The next clue is where
something flies high up in the sky on a pole.
5.The next clue with the fourth question is : Where we sing and play
instruments joyfully. This location is the music room.
6. The next clue in the fifth question is: The place where we do research
on computers and learn new things. This location is the computer room.
7. The next clue for the sixth question is: In this room where the next clue
is this is where we create beautiful pictures.
8. The next clue for the seventh question is: This is where we go if we do
not feel good.
9. The next clue for the eight question is: This is where we play outside
and have friends with one another.
10. The next clue for the ninth question is: This is where your favorite
teachers room is.
11. The last question will be up on the board ready for the students to
scan the last code and answer the question. The teacher will sum up the

total of points that each group got and whoever has the most points will
get a reward.

A- Introducing:
Arrange students into groups to go onto the hunt. Make sure that
in every group at least one student has a mobile device.
Explain to the students what will be in the lesson and explain to
them what a QR is and what the objective of this is activity is.
A QR code will be displayed on the white board for the students
to be able to scan in and start the hunt.
