Students will describe the geographic, political, economic and social characteristics of the Ancient Greek and
Roman civilizations and their impact on later civilizations.

the civilizations.
1.12.2 Describe the development of concepts of government and citizenship, specifically democracy,
republics and codification of law.

Middle Ages and the Renaissance
Assessment Task:
Students will describe the political and economic events and the social and geographic characteristics of Medieval
