RFQ-DCP-12-39-5680, Rotary Screw Compressor

Q1) Is there a County forklift available on site that the awarded contractor would be permitted to
use with a County employee manning it?
A1) The awarded contractor is responsible for remove the old compressor.

Q2) There is an angular brace on one of the upright columns/supports for bus wash that needs to
be removed temporarily in order to move the old equipment out and the new equipment in.
The brace is bolted in place, both to the upright column/support and to the floor. Is
removing it and then reinstalling it a problem?
A2) The County does not wish for the angular brace to be removed.

Q3) Does the County of Dutchess want to save the old Champion Duplex Compressor?
A3) Per the specifications, the awarded contractor is responsible for the removal of the old
compressor and placement on a Dutchess County Public Transit Rack Body Pickup Truck.

Q4) We could not locate the breaker for the Champion Compressor. How will the power be
shut off to the unit on the day that installation will take place?
A4) The County will address.

Q5) A County Electrician will need to install a disconnect near the new compressor and possibly
run new wiring and install a new breaker, depending on what the correct voltage will be.
A5) The County will address.
