1. While writing your paper, what did you learn about the research process ?
Whilewritingmypaperthe
things I learned about the research process was that to have good reliable research you must be able to
let some information go and even though it may take more time to continueresearchingandfindbetter
andmorereliableinformation.

My research was related to my process by that

The first day of my mentor hours I observed one of
his film classes learning all of the different ways of structure a film before the filming process, after
class my mentor showed me the colleges editing rooms and studio. After touring the editing room my
mentor and some of his film students gave me hands on lessons of how to actually use the editing
software. The second day I observed a new project him and his class had just started and got to work
hands on with the different jobs are neededduringcreatedafilm,Igottoobservehowtoprofessionally
set upandfilmavideoalsogoodtechniquesonhowtoorganizeandformateverythingbefore beginning
theeditingprocess.

Workingwithmymentoraffectedmyunderstandingofmytopicbyallowingmeto
experiencehoweverythingIhadlearnedwasdoneinaprofessionalmannerandhowitwasdoneby
peoplethathadmanyyearsofexperience.Thishelpedwiththedevelopmentofmyproductbecauseit
made it so I did not have go into myproductwithoutanyknowledgeonhowtousetheeditingsoftware
andallowedmetomakeamoredetailedfilmthanIwouldhavebeenabletootherwise.
5. How did creating a product and completing the hours challenge you personally?
Creating the product
and completing the hours challenged me personally because having to find a mentor and find time to
meet with him independently was a challenge. Also having to manage my time and make creating this
productandfinishingmymentorhoursmynumberonepriority.
6. Do you feel prepared academically and emotionally for the presentation?
I do feel prepared
academically and emotionally for this process because after going through the entire process and
everything that we had to do to get ready for this process it makes me feel more than prepared for this
presentation.
7. How did the entireprocess stretchyouasalearnerandasanindividual?
Thisprocessstretchedmeas
an individual because it taught me how to manage stress and how to be independent and take on all of
the responsibility that goesalongwithit.Thisprojecttaughtmehowtostaydedicatedandworkhardon
aprojectnomatterhowharditgetsandnomatterhowdifficultthedeadlinesare.
8. Describe an obstacle you encountered and how you overcame it.
AnobstacleIencounteredduringthis
process was having the fear of speaking in front of a crowd but I managed to overcome this by
practicing by myself and learning helpful tips from my public speaking class and once I presented it
once,itgavemeconfidencetopresentinfrontofanyone.
9. What life skills did you acquire and how will they help you in the future?
A life skill I acquired
during this process was time management and this will helpmeinthefuturebythatanylargetaskI am
given I will have the skills to manage future deadlines and be able to complete them in a organized
mannerandhopefullylimittheamountofstress.
10. If you had to go back and do parts of the project again, what would you do differently?
If I had to go
back and do parts of this project again I would havestayedaheadonallofthe projectrequirementsand
film everything I needed far aheadoftimesowhileeditingIwouldnotberushedontimetotrytoshoot
everythingIneededandhavecomfortroomandbeabletogeteverythingIneededaheadoftime.
