WE, LUCKY PEOPLE
DRINK NATAKHTARI
I am lucky. I was stricken by popularity so quickly that I got alienated from myself. Every now and then I forget that people know me
if somebody comes and says compliments I get even astonished. I
watch TV and sometimes I am not surprised to see myself, sometimes
I think that its somebody else, this is the feeling of alienation, says
Gigi Dedalamazishvili, Mgzavrebi soloist. Lucky singer found luck in
love as well. Gigi is in love. His girlfriend is Ukrainian Photographer
21-year old Marina Karpi, who is among 100 best photographers of
the world.
Although the singer does not like giving interviews, our conversation still took place. At the door of the house Gigi and his little dog
named Sevda (sevda means sadness in Georgian, and really the
dog had very sad eyes) met me. Of course we started the interview
with Mgzavrebis work.
For Mgzavrebi, from the creative point of view, this summer
was quite busy. What are your plans for the nearest future?
- Yes this year we participated in many concerts. The whole summer was scheduled. In a nutshell, we are in the process of creative
burning. In October we are planning to record a new album with 14
new songs. We had a long break the first album named I Invented,
was issued in 2008.
How do you think are you Mgzavrebi doing something really special that made you popular in such a short time?

Have you ever refused to give a concert?
- I consent to take part in a concert only because of two reasons:
when a fee is acceptable or concert is organized for charity. I will never
go to sing at wedding.
Even in case of attractive honoraria?
- Nobody will pay enough worth of your nerves. I know that Tamada will stop me
Now lets talk about your personal life. Will you confirm the
information about getting married?
- What does it mean getting married? I fell in love with one girl, we
like being together and one fine day I decided that I should not let her
go away from me. I cannot do without her. Shall I prove my love to the
state? We only have to go to the God and we will.
What qualities has Marina that you did not find in a Georgian woman?
- Lets agree that a woman does not have nationality. Woman is a
woman! Is there a woman who does not like complaining and is not
capricious? However, I like her character she is purposeful, warm,
caring she has her favorite business and is a successful woman in
her country. My wife is ready to give everything up there and be here
with me. But I am not permitting her to do so since she is very successful
We heard you are going to be a member of Geostar Jury. Is
that true?
- Yes, Ill be a member of the Geostar Jury but it makes me nervous and concerned. This process is very emotional. There is no way
to escape criticizing someone. And this person likes singing and sings
from his/her heart. I do not know how I will manage it.
So you are not going to be Marina Beridze and will be more
loyal?
- I am who I am! Marina Beridze has the right to be critical, to
reprimand I still have a long way to go to acquire such right.
Do you drink beer and which brand do you prefer?
- In general, we, lucky people drink Natakhtari. Our cooperation
with Natakhtari has started a long time ago and still goes on. This year
we took part in Tbilisi Beer festival. They are doing a good job, I like
strategy of this company. It is great when you invest in social projects
and pursue charity. This is to be appreciated and I wish success to
Natakhtari.

EFES MINI-FESTIVAL
Efes Art Festival was held at the entertainment center
organized on the territory of Krtsanisi Residency. First day
of the event was dedicated to the electronic music and
visual performances. The next day exhibition of books of
young Georgian writers and works of artists was organized. The festival aimed to motivate young artists.

ALWAYS FRESH
Communication campaign of Efes
Georgia aimed demonstrating high quality product to the consumers. It started in
April and the main message, which was
voiced by Tomas Schwind, Chief Technologist of Natakhtari, emphasized the
concept that quality assurance is crucial
and significant for production of beer. The
campaign included airing the commercial
video, as well as use of external advertising facilities and publishing articles on
printed media.

drunk significantly increases the
likelihood of hit as well as of getting
injuries. In addition, alcohol consumption reduces quick thinking
and responsiveness, concentration
of attention, causes vision duplication and all of these increase the
risk of accidents and endanger
lives of drivers as well as of their
passengers and pedestrians.
Who supports the campaign and how is the assistance
expressed?
- Campaign is conducted with
the support of Company Natakhtari, Insurance Company GPI
Holding, Toyota Caucasus and
US Embassy in Georgia. Natakhtari is the general sponsor of the
project and within the social responsibility project is actively engaged with financial and human
resources in popularization of the
campaign.
There is a foreign experience
that many well-known alcohol producing companies are engaged in
social campaigns. Therefore, we
were especially delighted by the
fact that such organization appeared in Georgia as well.
What activities are
planned before the year-end?
- As you know, the campaign
officially started on May 11, 2011
on a day of global celebration
of road safety decade. The First
Lady of Georgia attended the
opening ceremony. Within the
campaign framework meetings
with drivers and students, radio
and TV programs are planned, radio and video commercials with
participation of Nika and Nutsa
major personages of the program
Do Not Worry Be Healthy! initiated by the First Lady will be aired,
conveying message to the public
that driving in a drunk condition is
not worth of life and health and
even penalty. The campaign Dont
Drink and Drive! will visit Batumi
and take part in events organized
by support of Youth Affairs Department of the Municipality and Youth
Summer Theater.
In addition, a presentation of
a new short feature film with participation of a new personage
VAS-o (abbreviation in Georgian
language stands for - Who Does
Not Drink). In a nutshell, many interesting and diverse events are
planned within the program
framework for the future. Hopefully major part of the public will actively take part in it.

NATAKHTARI LEMONADE
ACTION FOR CHILDREN
Natakhtari Lemonade organized a lemonade event for Tbilisi children on an International Childrenss Defence Day. Special bus of Natakhtari Lemonade was driving throughout various districts of Tbilisi from afternoon till late evening with animators, fairy tale heroes and presents. It was stopping at
squares, parks and other crowded places to hold a small celebration for passer-by children. During the event kids were being entertained by clown animators, The Booted Cat and Sullivan from Monsters Corporation. They handed Natakhtari Lemonade, hoods, balloons and other gifts over to children.

PRESENTATION OF NIKO GOMELAURIS BOOK
At the big hall of the Griboeyedov Theatre, under initiative of
Nina Chodrishvili, Niko Gomelauris wife, and young creative people, presentation of Nikos new book - Dreams Break Like Commandments and a special artistic evening were organized. The
evening was lead by Kakha Mikiashvili, an actor. Bichi Ivanishvili and Irakli Gaphrindashvili,
young poets, recited poems
from the book.
In his late years Niko was
dreaming about publishing a
hardback that would include
his selected works. After his
death, under Mrs. Ninas initiative and Company Natakhtaris support, the book got
published, with well-known
poems of the poet as well as
with his works that had not
been published before.

AT ALTERVISION
International music festival Tbilisi Open Air, held for the
second time this year, was organized at the hippodrome territory. Twenty bands from various countries, including Germany, Great Britain, France and Belgium took part in it. At the
event, attended by approximately 15 thousand young people,
Natakhtari Karva and Natakhtari Extra were being exclusively
sold. In addition, branded tents got placed and guests were
given plastic cups branded with Natakhtari Karva logo.

NEW LEMONADE
CAMPAIGN
A special communication campaign
was planned and implemented in June in
order to promote Natakhtari Lemonade as
a strong exportable product, being sold in
15 various countries, with the quality meeting the highest USA and EU standards.
Within the project framework a special TV
video was made, billboards got installed
and posters were printed. One more objective of the campaign was positioning
of Natakhtari Lemonade, as of the brand
which Georgians are proud of.
