LOS PAISAJES EN ESPAA II = LANDSCAPES IN SPAIN II

En Espaa hay diferentes tipos de paisajes, debido en parte a los diferentes climas. Vamos a
ver los paisajes de la costa atlntica y de las Islas Canarias.
There are many different types of landscapes in Spain, influenced partly by the different
climates. We are going to look at the landscapes of the Atlantic coast and of the Canary
Islands.
LOS PAISAJES ATLNTICOS
LANDSCAPES OF THE ATLANTIC COAST
Elementos naturales. Los paisajes atlnticos tpicos incluyen montaas y valles, as como altos
acantilados rocosos. La vegetacin es principalmente de campos y bosques. Llueve mucho.
Natural features. Typical Atlantic landscapes include mountains and valleys, as well as high
rocky cliffs. Vegetation is mainly fields and forests. It rains a lot.
La actividad humana. Hay robles y hayas en los bosques originales, pero las personas
plantas eucaliptos y pinos por su madera. Hay muchos campos para animales. Los pueblos
son pequeos y aislados. Las grandes ciudades tienen muchas industrias.
Human activity. There are oak and beech trees in the original forests, but people plant
eucalyptus and pine trees for their wood. There are many fields for animals. The villages are
small and isolated. The large cities have lots of industries.

Elementos naturales. Los paisajes tpicos de las Canarias son picos volcnicos. Las islas al
oeste tienen montaas ms altas. Las Islas Canarias tienen temperaturas suaves todo el ao.
Natural features. Typical landscapes of the Canaries are volcanic peaks. The islands to the
west have higher mountains. The Canary Islands have mild temperatures all year round.
La actividad humana. Los paisajes originales estn muy cambiados. Hay terrazas construidas
en las laderas de las montaas para cultivos. Sin embargo, los paisajes estn transformados
principalmente por el turismo.
Human activity. The original landscapes are very changed. There are terraces built in the
mountain slopes to grow crops. However, the landscapes are mainly transformed by tourism.
