Crocheted Amigurumi Animals

Animals measure between 6 and 9 tall.

Materials:
Yarn: Dream by Premier Yarns (100% Acrylic; 3.5
ounces; 224 yards)
Colors are listed in individual patterns
Crochet hook: US F-5 (3.75mm)
Extras: Yarn needle; polyester fiberfill, red crayon or
powdered blush makeup for cheek color, black
embroidery floss for facial features
Gauge: 4 sc and 5 sc rnds = 1". While gauge is not crucial
for this project, work evenly and consistently
throughout. Stitches should be firm and even, with no
gaps for stuffing to show through. If necessary, change
hook sizes in order to obtain the correct type of crochet
fabric.
Special Abbreviation
Sc2tog (single crochet 2 stitches together): Draw up a lp
in each of next 2 sts, yo and pull through all 3 lps on
hook.
Project notes:
Do not join rnds unless otherwise specified.
Insert a contrasting piece of yarn in the last st of
rnd and move this yarn up with each rnd.
Stuff pieces firmly, but do not distort stitches so
that stuffing shows through.
To change colors in sc: use working color to pull
up a loop in next st, drop working color, yo with
new color and pull through 2 lps on hook. Cut
original working color.

Rnd 18: Sc2tog around, sl st in next sc; fasten off leaving

a 12" yarn end 6 sts.
Finish stuffing head. Thread yarn end through yarn
needle and weave through each st. Pull tightly to close
opening. Knot yarn securely and thread yarn inside head;
cut.
BODY: Beg at bottom of body, with MC, ch 2.
Rnds 1-4: Rep Rnds 1-4 of head 24sc.
Rnds 5-10: Sc in each sc around.
Rnd 11: * Sc in each of next 2 sc, sc2tog; rep from *
around 18 sc.
Rnd 12 (neck opening): * Sc in next sc, sc2tog; rep from
* around, sl st in next sc; fasten off leaving a 12" yarn end
12 sc.
Stuff body firmly. Thread yarn needle with end and sew
neck opening to head (white area of head is Fernandos
face).

sc2tog, sc in last sc; turn 8 sc.
Row 3: Ch 1, sc in next sc, [sc2tog] 3 times, sc in last sc;
turn 5 sc.
Row 4: Ch 1, sc in next sc, draw up a loop in each of next
3 sc, yo and pull through all 4 loops on hook, sc in last sc;
turn 3 sc.
Row 5: Ch 1, draw up a loop in each of next 3 sc, yo and
pull through all 4 loops on hook; turn 1 sc.
Row 6: Ch 1, sc in sc; fasten off.
Sew widows peak to front of head, using photo as a

Stuff each wing lightly. Pinch Rnd 5 closed flat and sew
wings in place on each side of body, using photo as a

Sew tummy to middle of body, using photo as a guide.
FOOT (Make 2): With CC2, ch 2.

Pinch Rnd 4 closed flat and sew each foot to bottom of

LOLA THE BUNNY

Finished size: 7 tall
Yarn:
FINISHING: Using photo as a guide for all finishing,

embroider eyes using a doubled length of black
embroidery floss. Color cheeks with red crayon or
powdered blush, if desired.

next 7 chs, 3 sc in last ch, turn piece and working along
opposide side of foundation ch in remaining loop, sc in
each of next 8 chs; turn 19 sc.
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each of next 3 sc, hdc in each of next 5
sc, 2 hdc in each of next 3 sc, hdc in each of next 5 sc, sc
in each of last 3 sc; fasten off 22 sts.
OUTER EAR (Make 2): With MC, ch 10.
Rows 1 and 2: Rep Rows 1 and 2 of inner ear; do not
fasten off at end of Row 2; turn.
Row 3 (WS): Ch 1, sc in each st across; turn.
Row 4 (assembly row): Holding inner ear and outer ear
with WS tog and inner ear in front, ch 1, sc in each st
across through both thicknesses; fasten off leaving a 12"
yarn end.
Fold straight bottom edge in of each ear in half and sew
to head, using photo as a guide.
LEG (Make 2): With MC, ch 2.

Rnd 5: [Sc2tog] 3 times, sc in each of rem 9 sc 12 sc.
in next sc, fasten off.
Stuff each leg firmly and sew to body, using photo as a
guide.
ARM (Make 2): With MC, ch 2.
Rnds 1 and 2: Rep Rnds 1 and 2 of leg 12 sc.
Rnds 3-7: Sc in each sc around; at end of Rnd 7, sl st in
next sc, fasten off.
Stuff each arm firmly and sew to body, using photo as a
guide.

FINISHING: Using photo as a guide, embroider eyes and

facial features using a doubled length of black
embroidery floss.
Make a pompon for tail by wrapping CC 50 times around
3 fingers of one hand (or use a 2" piece of cardboard). Tie
a separate 12" length of CC around center of loops and
trim to desired size, shaping into a fluffy pompon tail.
Attach tail to back of body.

Stuff each tusk lightly and sew in place on either side of
trunk, using photo as a guide.
