Our Vision
Our desire is to provide a more complete
therapeutic program, addressing the
educational, cognitive, speech/language, and
occupational needs of our clients. The
anticipated end result will be a shorter amount
of time needed in either types of therapies
producing individuals who are successfully
engaged cognitively and socially in their
environment; having the skills needed for
success in life and learning.
Discovery Therapies began with one therapy
offered: educational therapy. Students
successfully completing that program have
been able to eliminate their need for special
education services in their schools. They have
gone from needing constant supervision and
outside help to being able to work
independently and going on to college.
However, this process usually takes a minimum
of three years to work. Some students take
much longer.

Therapies Offered
NILD Educational Therapy:
The most comprehensive of the educational
therapy interventions, this program
addresses the foundational issues that make
learning difficult using the academic skills of
reading, writing, math, as well as thinking and
reasoning.

Occupational Therapy:

Areas of OT treatment can include, but are

not limited to: hand/eye coordination,
sensory integration, independent feeding
skills, visual perception, daily living skills
(such as handwriting and dressing), fine
motor strength and functioning, focus and
attention, behavior and management,
assessment of the need for specialized
equipment.

Speech Therapy:
Speech therapy will focus on pediatrics
primarily with articulation and functional
language skills.
