Close (wrap up, discussion, brief review activity or assessment):
During the activities, students asked to measure their weight and tall.
By the end of the activity they need to tell their teacher one thing that they learned
from the activities.
Students needs to arrange themselves depends on their (length) by looking on the
cards
(See appendix 6) from the tallest one to the shortest one.

. Reflection on teacher feedback of my first lesson

What can you say about your lesson ? this question was asked by
.my MST about my first lesson plan
I said : I like it, and the lesson managed as I planned , as I saw , I
did very well in the lesson . Because the teacher can notice that ,
whenever she asks her students any question, she could find a
respond and answer from most the students, the rest of the class
might be the low ability students , who might have the answer , but
.they do not how to explain or describe
I focused on balancing between what are the requirement of the TP,
and the main learning objective of PYP curriculum the " inquiry" .
the main important concept is to provide students an issue and
materials and they need to discover, describe , and learn from what
.they experienced
As I noticed that my MST is dividing the lesson to three different
stages : introducing , applying and reflecting. As I experienced as
mathematical teacher I need to present my students different
representation methods (iconic, symbolic and enactive). By sudden
event one of my students was measuring the length of one of the
classmate, I took pictures for her while she is drawing him on the
?board, then she wrote numbers to know how tall is he
I asked this student to explain for them what she was trying to do?
?Why? And how
That was my introduction for the lesson .Then I shoed my students
a video story, and whenever I found any important point of
something to be explained or discussed I stop the video and ask my
.students some questions regarding it

After, I said my instruction , then they moved to different centers ,


where they need to experience measurement tools, during that
students requested to note down their length and weight by using
the materials, that took about 25 minutes . Later I asked all of them
to come and share their knowledge , and tell me just one thing that
. they learned it today
As reflection, by using the cards ,they need to arrange themselves
from the tallest to the shortest one . and they did it other two
mistakes. On the other hand, my class has more than one student
who are special needs , which requested more attention from
.teacher , in addition that most of the class are boys
I had only one issue, that I used thermometer as one of
measurement tools, and for that I requested the assistant to bring
hot water and to be careful, and keep that away of students, but
unfortunately ,she left hot water for students to play with it by
themselves. So I change it to warm water so they can use it
My MST asked me about it, and I told her, that
before starting the lesson I told the assister to be careful with it,
.but that what happened from her side
