What we offer!
Kool After School or KAS offers
mentoring and tutoring services in
Reading, Math, and Spelling from
Monday thru Thursday for the kids that
are assigned to our program. On
Fridays, we have scheduled volunteers
from the Creative Arts Center, a Master
Gardner, a local chief, and a member
of the 4-H club come in and conduct
learning activities in their designated
fields.

Not all work

We have volunteers pick up the kids at

3:15pm after school has let out. They
are bused to the Life Center and are
greeted with a nutritious after school
snack that is purchased with donations
and tuition fees. After snack time, the
kids enjoy 30 minutes of play in either
the gym or at the playground before
the volunteers arrive and tutoring
begins.

Kool after School is a non-profit

program that is only made possible
by donations and tuition-based
weekly fees of $20 dollars. There
are also need based tuition
reductions that are based on pay
that can be applied for by lowincome families. The tuition and
donations help to offset costs
associated with bussing, snacks,
special activities, and heating and
cooling costs.

How Can You Donate?

You can donate by stopping by the
Family Life Center or First United
Methodist Church and making a
donation in person or by sending a
check or money order to the 801

You can help!!

You can make a difference by
donating or volunteering your
time. You can volunteer on any
day Monday thru Friday. We only
ask that you commit to the day(s)
for the whole semester but we do
understand that sometimes things
will arise and we ask only for
notice when you are unable to
make it in on your day(s).
