SECONDARY RESISTANCE STARTER PANEL

INTRODUCTION
In general, when AC motor starts at the rated voltage, the starting current is 5
to 7 times the rated current. In applications where the driven machine
presents a high starting load and/or there is a need to start with absolute
minimal current draw, a wound rotor (or slip ring) motor can provide
unparalleled starting performance. The torque and current versus speed
characteristics of a wound rotor motor can be altered and controlled through
the addition of resistances to the rotor circuit. One of the more common
methods for starting wound rotor motors is the multi-stage secondary
resistance starter. During motor starting period, it is gradually to reduce
resistance of the motor control system .

FEATURES

Personnel safety and ease of maintenance

Shock and vibration resistance
Easy mounting of channel bases and interconnection of enclosures
Easy connection of cables and control wires from outside to unit step
terminators
Ample space for cable entry from the wireway to the unit
The high-pressure and low-pressure part are segregate, to ensure the
safety of the insulation distance and fast maintenance capability.
