The attention paid by the state is insufficient for full coverage of the population; this is when international organizations intervene to mitigate many of these issues by presenting projects and programs that improve the quality of life of the population victim of this phenomenon. The social work of these organizations is a great scope for social work and the different method of intervention for example in family groups and communities, in which the objectives of the profession and the mission of institutions intersect to achieve, mitigate the impact of the various problems in the people. VULNERABILITY POPULATION Disaster-elated loss prevention encompasses a wide range of activities that should be undertaken to increase the likelihood that homes, workplaces, and essential public buildings can su /e a natural or human-induced catastrophe. Improving this eapability must be a national priority, public health objective, economic imperative and humanitarian obligation. Nowhere is this more important than in addressing the needs and challenges of vulnerable populations—the poor, elderly, disabled, and others needing special assistance in high-risk areas ‘Vulnerability does not necessarily have to be limited to an entire population, ‘Vulnerability is not limited to a chronic situation, ‘* Vulnerability can be induced by a unequal perception of power + Vulnerability can be created by a need for services, assistance, or protection. % Vulnerability can be caused by cultural, ethnic, or religious beliefs, 3. TRAMATO SOCIAL, 2015 FON 3.2, METHOD ETHNOGRAPHY Ethnography is the study of social interactions, behavior’s, and perceptions that occur within roups, teams, cnganizations’, and communities. Its roots can be traced back to anthropological studies of small, rural (and often remote) societies that were undertaken in the early 1900s, when tesearchers such as Bronislaw Malinowski and Alfred Radcliffe-Brown participated in these societies over long periods and documented their social arrangements and belief systems. This approach was later adopted by members of the Chicago School of Sociology (For example, Everett Hughes, Robert Park, Louis Wirth) and applied to a variety of urban settings in their studies of social life. The central aim of ethnography is to provide rich, holistic insights into people’s views and actions, as well as the nature (that js, sights, sounds) of the location they inhabit, through the collection of detailed cbservations and interviews. As Hamersley state, “The task [of ethnographers} is to document the culture, the perspectives and practices, ofthe people in these settings. The aim is to ‘get inside’ the way each group of people sees the world.” Box I outlines the key features of ethnographic research, 4.
