RE: Humanity Healing Foundation's (HHF) Intervention in East and Northern Uganda

On behalf of the Government and Parliament of Uganda, I write to express my inner-most appreciation to you, for
taking off your valuable time, when, you paid a courtesy call to my office at Parliamentary Building in Kampala, in
the afternoon of Wednesday March 10, 2010.

It was interesting to know that HHF was in advanced stages of assessing the situation in the East and Northern
Uganda to enable you gather the necessary data and informatio~ which will enable it design appropriate strategic
interventions in those areas. Of particular importance, I was thrilled to note that HHF places children, their families
and communities at the centre of its policy, practice and development agenda and it aims at enhancing the
capacity of its clientele with the intention of causing lasting and positive changes. I wish to applaud HHF for
upholding the respect and value for humanity regardless of one's colour, race, sex, creed, tribe, culture, political or
religious affiliation.

HHF's packaging of carefully selected initiatives ranging from setting up social support mechanisms to
implementing integrated and multi-sectoral programmes that build on indigenous knowledge, robust community
mobilization skills, creating necessary linkages with other complementary service providers and building model
centers for communities to replicate, are key catalysts to help Uganda realize its MDGs, faster.

As a Government, we welcome your complementary role in re-building our country and we pledge to provide all
the necessary political will to enable you realize you vision, mission and strategic objectives while in Uganda.

Once again, Chris, thank you for selecting Uganda as an entry point for your development initiatives in Africa.
