on Australia and the world.

Reiterate what we learnt. Germany and


England were economically strong and
Russia was physically intimidating. Many
other European nations were expanding
their reach and getting wealthier.
Expansion made neighbours nervous.
Each side of the War thought they were
too strong to lose.
