Overviews:
The purpose of this assignment is to help you explore various teacher lesson plan
websites and evaluate effective lesson plans. In this assignment, you will find THREE
lesson plans that you want to integrate into your future classrooms and discuss their
strengths and improvement ideas.
Activities:
Search the lesson plans that you want to teach. You can google a topic of interest. The

2. Critique the lesson plans. Consider the following guiding questions for your
critique. Be aware that you do NOT need to answer each of the questions
below. What you need to do is to find questions applicable for each of your
lesson plan and prepare for narrative writings in the lesson plan critique
template.

1. Does the lesson plan clearly provide descriptive information (e.g., grade level,
subjects, target students)?

2. Does the lesson plan provide clear, measurable objectives?


3. Are there any objectives that you would revise? If so, how would you revise
them?
Does the goal match the standards?
Do the activities match the objectives? Think of examples.
Are the activities appropriate for the age group?
Do the plans for materials seem appropriate for the activities? How might you
improve them?
8. Is the time appropriate for the lesson? Why or why not?
9. Are the activities motivating to students?
10. Does the lesson plan provide detailed activity information? (Can you implement
the activities based on this lesson plan?)

11. Is the overall plan workable, given the time frame and other logistical
considerations impacting classrooms?
