Level 3 Technology Update

Dear Parents,
This year all students will be participating in Digital Media. This class
will take place in the Library and they will be learning Digital Literacy
Skills for 45 minutes each week. Students will check out their
library books flexibly as they did last year in Level 3.
This year we are so excited to announce the addition of Google Apps
for Education (GAFE) for our Level 3 students. At Benjamin
Franklin, all Level 3 students will have access to chromebooks and
GAFE accounts to enhance collaboration and communication in the
classroom using technology.
Students will be continuing to receive ongoing training with the
devices and GAFE platform in the classroom and in Digital Media. In
our first weeks of school, students have reviewed our Acceptable
Use Policy (AUP) and the importance of being responsible, respectful,
and safe when using technology at school. The AUP has been
outlined on the back of this information sheet.
