Simple Machines Presentation


In your group of 4, you will be required to become experts on ONE simple machine of your choice.
You may pick one of the following simple machines:

Wedges - Ramps - Screws - Levers - Wheels and Axles


You will be teaching the rest of the class about your machinery by answering the following 5
questions:

Where and when did it originate?
How has it developed over time?
Explain what forces it utilises
Provide 3 examples of your machinery we see in everyday life

You may use your oxford digital textbooks pages 242 252 as well as your laptops to complete any
further research.
You will do your presentation in PowerPoint or another form on ICT medium, and your presentation
should to go for 5-7 minutes in length and should include pictures
Each student will be required to share the work load of this assessment task as you will receive a
group mark
On the following page is the assessment rubric which you
can refer to.
This is what I will use to mark your presentation.
