American Red Cross provides programs and services to the communities they serve.
They provide emergency first aid care to sick or injured people preventing,
preparing for and responding to emergencies, as well as providing door-to-door
transportation service to provide a low-cost means of transportations.

ASPIRO assists individuals with disabilities in obtaining and retaining employment
with area businesses through supported employment, job placement, and school to
work transition. They provide adult day services specialized for individuals with
developmental disabilities as well as early intervention services for children with
developmental delays or disabilities. They also provide positive parenting programs
which focuses on giving supportive services for families in which one or both
parents have a cognitive disability.

The Bay Area Workforce Development Board (BAWDB) works to address local
economic workforce issues in the Brown, Door, Florence, Kewaunee, Manitowoc,
Marinette, Menominee, Oconto, Outagamie, Shawano and Sheboygan Counties. It
consists of selected community representatives, develops a skilled workforce by
strategically allocating and coordinating resources to address community needs by
working through others for the benefit of all. Their job is to increase job skills and
educational levels, enhance quality of life of all individuals while employers' needs
are met.

Judy Knudsen - Family Living Educator/Department Head
Brown County UW-Extension applies university research, knowledge and resources
to meet the educational needs of Brown County residents through family living
programs to support Brown County individuals and families in nutrition, food safety,
family financial management, and human development. Their 4-H Youth
Development Program provides an opportunity for youth to have fun, develop life
skills, and strengthen leadership capabilities through the completion of projects
and participation in club, county, state and national events. Their UW-Extension
nutrition education program also helps low income families and individuals choose
healthful diets, purchase and prepare healthful food and handle it safely, and
become more food secure by spending food dollars wisely.

The Brown County Health Department provides services relating to communicable
disease surveillance and control which involves investigation of cases/contacts,
provision of needed health care services, immunizations and education.
Maternal/child health promotion is addressed through parenting education, injury
prevention education, home visits, care coordination of children with special health
care needs and adolescent prenatal classes and school health services provide
vision and hearing screening.

The Brown County Human Services Department provides information, referral,
support and assistance to county residents at risk of or experiencing economic
hardships, neglect, abuse, juvenile crime, or incapacities related to aging or
disabling conditions.

The Center for Childhood Safety (CCS) focuses on prevention strategies including
strategies aimed at stopping injuries from taking place, and thus relates to the
time before injuries actually occur. As well as, strategies aimed at minimizing the
harm that occurs during an injury event.

Community Adoption Center is dedicated to creating new families and relationships
through adoption, providing the entire state of Wisconsin with adoption,
counseling, and social services every step of the way. Their services include
domestic home studies, placement services, adoption counseling and education, and
post placement services for domestic and international adoption.

The City of De Pere Health Department serves to protect and promote public
health across the lifespan through: education, policy development and valued
services. Their Public Health Nursing services focus on health promotion and
disease prevention including sexually transmitted diseases, foodborne and
waterborne illnesses, tuberculosis, and vaccine preventable diseases. Their
Maternal and Child Health nursing services include home visits for families with
new babies; focusing on assessment, education, and connecting families to
community resources.

Family Services is a non-profit, human services agency that protects, heals and
cares for the children and families of Northeast Wisconsin. They offer over 30

SHP helps homeless individuals and families secure quality housing with local
property owners by providing rental subsidies and working with participants to
meet immediate needs and lay the foundation for their future through supportive
case management. They provide career assessments and counseling, customized
skills training courses, resume and cover letter assistance and many other services
to ultimately help participants break the cycle of homelessness and become
economically self-sufficient.

Robin Davis President
Freedom House serves Brown County area families who find themselves in dire
need of emergency housing. Their program involves a step-by-step action plan
individualized for each family aimed at obtaining permanent housing and
employment, and restoring the family unit. They provide for the short-term needs
of homeless families and children, and empower families with long-term solutions to
end their cycle of homelessness. The result is a positive and beneficial environment
that encourages families to live more productive, healthy and fulfilling lives.

The mission of Golden House is to provide safety and support for victims of
domestic violence, while leading community efforts to end domestic abuse. They
strive to eliminate domestic violence from the community by working cooperatively
with other agencies and community resources, providing shelter, crisis
intervention, legal advocacy, support groups, information, and referral services, and
educating the community regarding the prevalence, effects, and prevention of
domestic violence.

Head Start provides comprehensive early childhood education, health, nutrition,
and parent involvement services to low-income children and their families. Designed
to support the mental, social, and emotional development of children from birth to
age 5, Head Start responds to each child and familys ethnic, cultural, and linguistic
heritage.

The Healthy Families program helps relieve family tensions by providing
comprehensive support services to families for up to five years after a child is
born. Family Support Workers provide most services right in the familys home. All
services are voluntary and have a single goal -- to help new parents meet the
challenges of parenting.

The Howe Family Resource Center provides programs that connect families by

Paul's Pantry provides care for hungry people in the community who are unable to
purchase enough food for their family as a result of their meager or no incomes.
Its goal is to provide a family with enough food every week, for as long as needed,
so that they may use their food dollars for shelter, utilities and other necessities,
and avoid becoming homeless.

The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection is the
states primary consumer protection agency. The Bureau of Consumer Protection
has broad authority to regulate unfair business practices. They work to prevent
