How we begin class in

Line up quietly, in proper uniform along the


wall.
As you enter I will take role I will say, good
afternoon, Ms. King
Sit quietly and begin DO NOW while I complete
role
Bags on back of chair or under chair

Once role is complete we will discuss objectives


You will receive 5 minutes for DO NOW
*Tardy = late pass and citation

How we conduct ourselves

To utilize anything that belongs to me place your


ID on the desk, grab item, quietly return to seat
Please DO NOT interrupt if IM teaching

You should always respond with Yes/No Ms. King


or Yes/No maam and utilize complete sentences
During announcements, voices off immediately
Please raise your hand if you need to my attention
When I need your attention
pencils down
All eyes on me
Voices off in 5..4, etc.

Keep your hands and feet to yourself.


Items on shelf
Reading chair, etc.

Bring your supplies to every class


Participation is a must!
No talking while someone else is speaking
If a timer is set for a particular activity
Stop! Go back to your seat! Be quiet and wait

for further instruction

How we end class in 113

The last 5-10 minutes of class we will


review objectives with Take Away
exercises
You are not dismissed until bell releases
our class
Clean up and fix your row before you leave
As you exit say, Have a great, day, Ms.
King
If you did not follow procedures, you will be
the last one to leave

A cheerful, peaceful and welcoming
atmosphere that encourages, edifies
and supports a positive learning
environment.
In this atmosphere there is NO
complaining, condemning, criticizing,
gossip, foul language, slander,

to feel good about yourself.
Positive actions for a healthy body (such as

nutrition, exercise, and sleep).


Positive actions for the intellect (such as thinking,
decision-making, and problem-solving skills).
Positive actions for self-management (such as
managing time, energy, emotions, and other
personal resources).
Positive actions for getting along with others (such
as treating others fairly, kindly, and respectfully).
Positive actions for being honest with yourself and
others (such as taking responsibility, admitting
mistakes, and not blaming others).
Positive actions for improving yourself continually
(such as setting and achieving goals).

Class will include an event


planning segment, a
mentor program and a unit
on proper etiquette.
