From Bill To Law

A bill is a proposed law under consideration by the legislative branch of

government. A bill does not become a law until it passes through a
rigorous series of steps designed to test the bill, and determine
whether it is in keeping with the wishes of the population.
You task for this assignment will be to track the steps a bill takes on its
path to becoming law and showcase them in some sort of engaging and
attractive visual representation. Your visual representation should be
attractive, illustrated, and give the viewer a good idea of the steps a bill
takes in becoming a law. Do not forget that the process is not linear,
and a number of things can happen to the bill, including its failure.
Some options you could use for your visual representation could be:

Concept map
Flowchart
Powtoon
Bitstirp / Pixton

Google Slide

Your first step will be to research each of the steps a bill takes in
becoming a law. Pages 20-56 in your textbook have a wealth of
information, so it is suggested that you start there. Other websites with
excellent information can be found at bcnsocial.weebly.com.
You may work individually, in partners, or groups of no more than three.
You will be given three class periods to work on this assignment.
Anything not completed in class will be assigned for homework.
