Numbers-Nmeros

Los nmeros cardinales se usan para expresar ms que el orden de las cosas, la
cantidad de algo. Los nmeros en ingls son realmente fciles de aprender pues una vez
conocidas un par de reglas veremos que los nmeros en ingls se forman uniendo varias
palabras inglesas muy fciles de aprender.
Vamos a ver la lista de los primeros 12 nmeros en ingls y su traduccin al
espaol:
1. one uno

7. seven siete

2. two dos

8. eight ocho

3. three tres

9. nine nueve

4. four cuatro

10. ten diez

5. five cinco

11. eleven once

6. six seis

12. twelve doce

Es importante que estudien los primeros 12 nmero. Ya que a partir de ahora

los dems nmeros se irn formando haciendo ciertas combinaciones y es conveniente que
primero memoricen los nmeros anteriores.
Ahora veamos los nmeros en Ingls del 13 al 19 y su traduccin al espaol:
13. thirteen trece
14. fourteen catorce
15. fifteen quince
16. sixteen diecisis
17. seventeen diecisiete
18. eighteen dieciocho
19. nineteen diecinueve
Se dan cuenta que estos nmeros siempre acaban en teen? Del trece al
diecinueve se les agrega el sufijo TEEN que a su vez marcan el periodo de la adolescencia
juvenil.
Pues fjate como se forma en ingls los nmeros 20, 30, 40, hasta el 90.

Has visto que quitando el 20 (twenty) todos los dems nmeros se forman
aadiendo el sufijo ty en vez de teen? Ya ves que fcil ahora para formar en ingls
un nmero como el 22 solo tienes que aadir el nmero 2 al 20 (en ingles), por ejemplo

twenty two (22). Veamos otros ejemplos: Para formar las decenas se aade un guin
despus de la decenas y el nmero:

48. Forty- eight cuarenta y ocho
53. Fifty- three cincuenta y tres

79. Seventy- nine setenta y nueve

Y as se forman los primeros 99 nmeros ordinales en ingls, el 100 es one
hundred (100) Recuerda repasar estos nmeros y que el 100 en ingls es one hundred.
Para las centenas sera:
a / one hundred, two hundred .....(cien, doscientos...)
Para unir las centenas con las decenas se le aadir and .
two hundred and fifty-five... ( doscientos cincuenta y cinco)
Para los millares sera:
a / one thousand, two thousand... (mil, dos mil...)
Para los millones sera:
a / one million, two million... (un milln, dos millones...)
