‘The UCC was enacted to harmonize laws in all 50 states of US; whereas, Common Law deals with several aspects like real estate, service, insurance, intangible assets etc. we were comfortable with concepts like business ethics, values management, corporate social responsibility ete. However, we had difficulties in understanding concepts like securities market securities regulation, criminal law procedure, modern criminal laws etc We found that the concepts related to business, societal, and ethical contexts of law very relevant to our professional as well as the personal life. We also believe that, every professional need to be aware of the concepts of business ethics and corporate social responsibility. Additionally, we would like state that the case examples given in the chapters are very useful in understanding the concepts. We could related to the law postulated through the case examples.
