*Technology Certification:
All students will be provided the opportunity to become certified to use their electronic devices while at
school during the first 2 weeks of the school year.

Technology ID Card will be issued to students as they certify and must be stored in the spine of the
Student Organization Binder.
Students that are certified may use devices before & after school, passing time, lunch time & when
teachers allow them to use them for academic purposes during class time.
During class time Students that are certified may use devices if device lays flat on the desk.
Students that are not certified may not use their own electronic devices while at school.
If student is not certified and caught using their electronic device they will meet with Administration for
Tier2 training.

FLEX Time Procedures:

1. Make student requests for FLEX by the end of 1st period. This will be done by using the
google document that will assign students where they are requested to be.
2. If students are not needed in their PRIORITY Day they can be requested to any other
classroom for makeup work, testing, re-teaching or remain in FLEX class for
SSR/Channel One or completion of homework. (use google doc)
3. Use Peer Tutoring (students or volunteers) to assist other students during FLEX.
4. All Departments will need a functioning and current website with posted assignments;
pdf worksheets, etc. so FLEX teachers have access to all missing work.
5. Commonly named Assessments/Assignments for LA, Math, Science, & Social
Studies. (Any assignments that are not common will not be supported during FLEX
Time)
6. All teachers will need to have grades current on a daily basis to make FLEX Time
productive.
Gecko Time:
1. Gecko Time within departments (minimum of 1 time monthly) mostly with the focus for ENRICHED
Learning opportunities. Students can still be pulled for re-teaching or homework hall during these class
periods.
2. WOW Gecko Days will be sponsored by the school leadership team 1 time per trimester (proposed dates
are: November 4th, February 17th and May 18th). Note that the dates are about a week before the trimester
ends. This was planned to motivate students to get all work handed in early so that they can participate
on these days.
3. Every Trimester have an unannounced School-Wide Celebration for Effort Grades, Honor Roll, No Tardies,
etc.. The proposed dates are: Wed. October 21st, Wed. January 27th, and May 4th. Please note that these
dates are subject to change, but you will be made aware of them in advance.

Tested Content Departments:


1. Tested Content Departments have Common Preps
2. Tested Content Department schedule collaboration a minimum of 1 time weekly during common prep
time. Be sure to include the administrative representative assigned to your team.
3. Tested Content Departments will meet monthly in Department collaboration with admin.
4. Tested Content Departments will meet the 2nd Monday of the month with other contents that are in their
department who are not on common prep.
5. Tested Content Departments will identify and post any big upcoming assignments for their content areas
on the whiteboard in the faculty room.
6. Tested Content Departments will use common titles in Powerschool to identify all
assignments/assessments.

Singleton Departments:
1. Meet weekly on Mondays for a minimum of 45 minutes in collaboration.
2. Singleton Dept. meet monthly in District Collaboration.
3. Singletons will identify and post any big upcoming assignments for their content areas on the whiteboard
in the faculty room.
4. Singletons will identify essential standards (what students must know in order to go to the next grade
level) and build a viable curriculum (GVC) based upon these standards and submit to principal.

Meet 2 times monthly (1st & 3rd Monday) for minimum of 45 minutes to discuss common students.
Teams will contact parents regarding academic grades, effort grades, behavior, attendance, etc.
Use common interventions and track all interventions on the WILL/SKILL google document.
Start the process of SPED referral after a minimum of 2 interventions have not worked.
Teams will discuss and calendar any big upcoming assignments for their content areas.

Misc. Notes:

No Early Lunch as an incentive.


Departments develop common practices for Effort Grades.
