This document is intended to guide you through building a FX10 Bi-Fet Preamp. The FX10
was made from 1982 to 1985. It was designed as a preamp for electric-acoustic instruments
but most people these days use it as a clean boost for electric guitar. The Tone control allows for a bass or treble boost while the center position gives a flat response.
This project has eliminated the CMOS switching and is set up for true bypass wiring and
the PCB is designed to fit into a 1590B or similar enclosure.

This board was designed to be used with 16mm Long Pin PCB mounted potentiometers but you
can use whatever potentiometers you want.
R7 is the drop-down resistor for the LED. Choose the value based on the LED you use and how
bright you want it.
