Cultural differences wasnt the problem in the Bolshevik revolution but the social class system was. The
revolution began because of the unfair treatment of the lower class which was the majority of people who made
up the Soviet Union. The people wanted change [and]... only the revolution could transform the Russian

The Bolshevik revolution would allow the stereotypical thoughts of the lower class to convert to the equality of

Stalin was able to move up in the communist ranks and take over it by becoming general secretary a

the peoples attention. He fed thoughts in their head for example saying the Soviet Union was ahead while he
was ruler and was only going to get better. Which in reality, Russia was slowly degrading. The media was not
allowed to state how they felt if it wasnt supportive. Stalin not only used propaganda and censorship, [but]... the

against their ruler. And at moments where distress and great terror seemed near Stalin suspicion grew intensely.

Stalin lived in more fear than anything. He gave the secret police more power to keep the citizens in place and

To continue his rulership safely and to fight off his competition Stalin instituted the Great Purge, a series of

doing this it increased and ensured his safety while getting rid of the ones who could pose as potential threat.
