Prayer for Peace

and Justice
God, source of all light,
we are surrounded by the darkness of
the injustices experienced by your people,
the poor who are hungry and who search for shelter,
the sick who seek relief,
and the downtrodden who seek help in their hopelessness.
Surround us and fill us with your Spirit who is Light.
Lead us in your way to be light to your people.
Help us, [insert group name] to be salt for our community
as we share your love with those caught in the struggles of life.
We desire to be your presence to the least among us
and to know your presence in them as we work through you
to bring justice and peace to this world in desperate need.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ,
your son, who lives and reigns with you
and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.

Oracin por la paz

y la justicia
Dios, fuente de la luz,
estamos rodeados de la oscuridad
de las injusticias que viven tanta gente,
de los pobres que tienen hambre y
que buscan albergue,
de los enfermos que buscan alivio,
y de los oprimidos que buscan ayuda
en su desesperacin.
Rodanos y llnanos de tu Espritu
que es Luz.
Guanos en el camino para ser luz de tu pueblo.
Ayuda a nuestra parroquia a ser sal de la comunidad
al compartir tu amor con aquellos
que luchan en la vida.
Deseamos ser tu presencia a los ms desamparados
entre nosotros
y a conocer tu presencia en ellos cuando
trabajamos a travs de ti
para llevar justicia y paz al mundo
que tanto las necesita.
Te lo pedimos por Nuestro Seor Jesucristo,
tu Hijo, que vive y reina contigo
y el Espritu Santo, un Dios, por los siglos de los siglos.
