Summary
A mid-level student affairs professional. I am seasoned social justice educator, diversity administrator, and
strategist. As the Director of Diversity and Inclusion I have created programing in regards to social justice
issues, while creating programming that enhances inclusion, and crafted diversity strategic plans to be
implemented. I've worn many hats in my career from leadership coach and facilitator, to programming expert,
the ability create processes and policies, and a vast knowledge in HR expertise. I have the ability to mange
multiple projects, while handling complex issues. I have the ability to lead a team effectively and inspire

professional in the market for a new position? Are you ready to move to the next level in your career?

and institutional experience to demystify the job process. These professionals spent the last year researching,
applying and interviewing for jobs in a competitive higher education environment. Starting from the
researching phase to the phone interview to the campus visit, get firsthand knowledge, tips and tricks into
the innovative strategies that were successful for these individuals. Sharing these insights will provide the
participants with a valuable toolbox to use in their professional job search, whether you are a graduate
student to a new professional to a mid to senior level professional. You will leave the session reinvigorated
and knowledgeable while having the opportunity to hear perspectives from sides, employer and candidates,
on the best way to navigate the job search process.
Navigating Your Career by Taking Courageous Steps

Presenters will discuss creating change on new campuses or career changes as women of color. This
presentation will provide insight on how their ethnic backgrounds are enhancing and encouraging change

their respective campuses and how they are trying to overcome them. Identity theory will be highlighted in
reference to their decision making process and career planning.
Transfer 101

During this hour long presentation students will learn what it takes to be a successful transfer student. They
will also understand the steps to find their perfect 4 year institution, while beginning the process of financial
aid, and applying to their dream school.
