Population and Problem


Adoptive families and Foster care Families
Support services for parents who may be
having difficulties bonding with their children
and managing behaviors .
Yoga for children to address difficulties such
as anxiety, attachment disorders, gross motor
development, core strength, and difficulties
with socialization and attention to task.
Complete evaluations for children and make
suggestions to parents

Mission
Help children who are in foster care
or have been adopted to achieve
their highest potential.
Offer support and education to the
parents of these children.

Program Goals
Parents will obtain improved understanding of
their unique situation and improved
confidence in their parenting skills based on
parent self assessment.
Children will show improvement based on
individual goals.
Children will demonstrate limited negative
attachment behavior as reported by parent.
Biological parents and their children in foster
care will work together towards being reunited

Frame of Reference
PEO
In this program, each individuals occupational
performance will be assessed by evaluating the
person, their environment and their occupation. Then
the goal will be to achieve equilibrium between the
three factors to improve the individuals performance.
In the program, yoga and crafts will be used to bring
relaxation to the childrens state of mind. A support
group will provide education for improvement in the
parents occupational roles. The childrens
environment may be changed if the parents decide to
implement sensory integration ideas in their homes

Funding Options:
Government Assistance
Grants we would aim for $3,000 in grants to start up
Entry Fee ($25 per family, families with more than one
child would pay another $5 for every additional child)

Marketing Plan
Target Audience: Parents who have adopted or
become foster parents, social workers
Strategies: Brochures and Fliers placed in
adoption agencies, Website, youtube video,
Staff, OT/ OTAs could market for this program
Present our program to social workers/adoption
agencies so they can recommend our program to
families they may be working with
Maximum of 2 months to send out surveys,
collect data, and formulate an outline of our
program

Our Program would be a low cost to
parents/ families
If families cannot cover the cost
provide scholarship options
