Protections and Display Interfacing
Protections
• Over-voltage protection D6020, D6018...activating fault input if feedback
circuit is defect...
• Primary over-voltage protection 7307 activating in case primary voltage too
high.
• Secondary over-current protection C2014, 3021...activating soft-start if
short circuit in secondary circuits, 12V, 24V...
Display Interfacing
•Lamp on/off from SSB to switch the LCD backlight (0 – 3.3V).
•Dim control from SSB to adjust backlight intensity (PWM signal 3.3V)
•Boost not used from SSB, is fixed 3V3 or left open depending on commercial
request or display specification.
•Standby signal and 5V2 from SSB to switch relay : psu on/off

Display supply for 47” and 52” LCD sets in the 2k7 program.
ENGINEERING TRAINING
Basics' about the 47” & 52”
Some basic facts about the 47” & 52” display supply
•This display supply is intended for 47” and 52” LCD sets. It works
together with a platform supply to fulfill the total supply requirement of the
TV set.
•The supply is designed and manufactured by the external company
Sanken (Japan). Philips buys the supply on it’s own responsibility and
mounts the supply into the set on the incasing belt.
•There are 2 versions of this supply, one generates 295Vdc for the
scanning backlight displays (HCFL), type number: 3H180WI.
A second version supplies 24Vdc for all other displays (CCFL), type
number: 3H199WI.
•This supply can be used with both the jaguar platform and with the new
TV520 platform.
•On the supply panel the LCD inverter control signals ON/OFF and PWM
control are fed through from the small signal panel.
• This supply has a global mains voltage range, from 90Vrms to 276Vrms.
