As a tire installer and sales individual I am responsible for ensuring accuracy with weekly
shipments of product as well as working to increase efficiency of work performed. This job has
given me many hours of face-to-face interactions with individuals allowing me to improve my
interpersonal skills. I have experienced many different scenarios, which force me to interact
with many different members and situations. I have learned to control my composure under
stressful situations and work with all individuals both members and co-workers to achieve the
most satisfactory outcomes. Teamwork is the most beneficial skill learned while working as a

Adjunct Professor, 09/2014 to current

Carroll University Waukesha, WI
As a graduate student, Carroll University selected students to teach Exercise Physiology
Laboratory classes to undergraduate students. I was responsible for designing course lectures,
instructing lab activities and ensuring student success. This job allowed me to further increase
my interpersonal skills where I worked with each individual student giving advice on how to be
successful in my class. The experience working with students will benefit my abilities to work
with clients and patients in the future primarily with educational topics and instructions.

Education

Bachelor of Science: Exercise Science, Received May 11, 2014

Carroll University Waukesha, WI
I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science this past spring and I am
currently continuing my education in a Graduate Program for Exercise Physiology. I have taken
many classes pertaining to Physical Therapy and Exercise Physiology fields. My previous
courses as a Physical Therapy student and current graduate program involving Exercise
Physiology give me beneficial knowledge and skills when working with special populations. The
classes I have taken have given me knowledge in: exercise prescription, fundamentals of
injury rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, human anatomy, human physiology, exercise
instruction, group exercise instruction, psychology, wellness coaching, nutrition, Advanced
Cardiac Life Support and exercise pertaining to special populations in health and disease. My
field of study has given me many hours working with individuals in a one on one setting as
well as group setting where I have designed and delivered exercise prescriptions to clients. I
have accumulated over 150 hours of shadowing between the two types of therapy in several
different settings including: in-patient care, out-patient rehabilitation, and sports
rehabilitation.

Master of Science: Exercise Physiology, Will Receive May 2015

Carroll University Waukesha, WI
I am attending my final semester of graduate school where I am focusing my time developing
my thesis statement and further fine-tuning my skills as an exercise physiologist. I teach an
exercise lab where I train undergraduate as well as graduate students how to design and
implement exercise programs to all populations of clients and patients. While my
undergraduate studies pertained primarily to healthy populations of individuals my graduate
studies pertain to special populations such as stroke, cardiac, and pulmonary patients that
require a more careful approach to exercise. My research and lab time with clients has further

increased my abilities to assess clients and patients as well as properly design exercise
programs to maximize their benefits from exercise. I will graduate with my Master of Science
degree on May 10th 2015 where I will look to begin or continue my career as an exercise
physiologist.

Internship: Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation

Ministry Healthcare Eagle River, WI; Rhinelander, WI; Woodruff, WI
Froedtert Healthcare Menomonee Falls, WI

I have completed two internships at the graduate level accumulating 650 hours combined in
the cardiopulmonary rehabilitation field. I was able to work toward mastering my skills as an
exercise physiologist and learn valuable information on how to be professional and confident in
the decisions I make. I fine-tuned my skills in program development and implementation,
specialized patient education, patient care, stress testing and much more. Each of my coworkers and supervisors provided information and feedback that can only be learned with
hands on experience. With the experience I have accumulated while interning I am well
prepared to begin my career as an Exercise Physiologist.
