their reading folder for their Daily Language
Review. Students will complete matching day
assignment under teachers guidance. Monitor
and assist students as needed. Check as a
group.
2. Project Mountain Language onto the board for
students to complete. Cores 1 and 2 will do
the fifth grade Mountain Language. Cores 3
and 4 will do the sixth grade Mountain
Language. Students will work on 4-5 problems
daily with teacher assistance.
1. Review compare and contrast with students.
Remind students of definitions of what it
means to compare and contrast. Comparison
and contrasting are ways of looking at objects
and thinking about how they are alike and
different.
2. Review the parts and the use of a Venn
Diagram.
3. Remind students of comparing and contrasting
vocabulary: same, different, similar, both, one
hasbut the other hasetc.
