Introduction: A game of Crocodile,


Crocodile, one child stands in the
middle (crocodile) with the rest in a line
facing them. The crocodile says a
colour and any children wearing that
colour must try to run past the crocodile
to the other side of the river.
Activity One: Play-Dough mixing.
Large quantities of play-dough in the
primary colours on a table, children are
to mix these colours to create a new
colour. Children will be prompted to
name and discuss the colours and how

Activity Two: Recordable pegs colour
hunt. Children are partnered up and
given a peg with a recorded message
that tells them to find an object of a
specific colour. Some tasks are harder
and require more thinking than others.
Afterwards children are able to record
their own colour hunt instructions.
Conclusion: Children are brought back
to the mat to watch a youtube clip of a
song discussing the three primary
colours and mixing them. The song is
played again and children are invited to
dance/ sing along.
