Coarse Description: Atonic Structure and Aiomie Bonding in Solids, The Strochre of Crystalline Solis,
Imperfections in Solids, Diffusion, Mechanical Properties of Metals, Dislocations and Strengthening,
Mechanisms, Failure, Phas Diagrams, Applications and Processing of Metal Alloys, Structure and Properties
of Ceramics, Polymer Structures. This course will give the students the knowledge ofthe slid materials
properties required for applications to engineering; and an introduction of method t modify them for
different applications and;
