Camp Rules

(Legend: All additions are in green; All deletes are in red)


In addition to the adopted by-laws of the Sidney Boat Club (SBC), Inc., the members will
be governed by the following rules for the use of the camping and boating facilities
provided for the member.
1. Y[ ] N[ ]
New requests for campsite transfers must be submitted in writing to
the SBC Property Manager no later than March 1st for each camping season.
Membership seniority date will govern placement on the transfer list. The members
name will remain on the transfer list until the SBC Property Manager receives a letter
requesting removal from the list.
2. Y[ ] N[ ]
No camp trailer over 4035 feet as per the manufacturers designation
is allowed. The trailer must fit the lot. (E.g.: must not interfere with roadways and
property line clearances.
3. Y[ ] N[ ]
No boat shall have a beam to exceed 86 nor a length through the
center of the hull to exceed 27 feet.
4. Y[ ] N[ ]
All camp trailers and boats on property must show proof of insurance
to the property manager.No camp trailer can be left set up in excess of 6 months during
the camping season.

Due to the possible shortage of docking space, members are to store their boats on
trailers if they do not use their boat for more than one week; Subject to a possible fine.

No member owns a specific dock space. Materials used in construction
or repair of a dock space becomes club property.

Guests with units may be invited, providing there are not 40 units
present. Our permit has a 40 unit restriction. Violation of 40 units could cause
revocation of our annual permit. Guests with units are expected to abide by camp rules.
See item 2 above.
7. Y[ ] N[ ]
Camp opening and closing dates are to be established by the Property
Committee (Board of Directors). These dates determine the camping season).
8. Y[ ] N[ ]
Storage buildings must be 5 from your camper (including awning) and
10 from your neighbor. This is a county requirement.
9. Y[ ] N[ ]
Any camper with more than 3 entry steps in use must include a hand
rail. This is a county requirement.
The Member:

Will notify the Property Manager in writing if the assigned lot will be
vacant for an extended period of time or for the season. July 15 is the notification cutoff date. There is a one-season limitation on such notifications.

Must set up a unit and use the site at least 2 weekends or equivalent,
4 nights, time during the designated camping season as evidenced by an entry in the

Camp log. Failure to do so will result in the site being declared open and available to
the transfer list.

Must be at the camp whenever he or she has guests (exception:
general maintenance of campsite).
13.Y[ ] N[ ]
Will assist other members in maintaining the grounds and other
facilities. (Work-related or physical disability absences understood.)
14.Y[ ] N[ ]
Is expected to clean and maintain his campsite. Initial cleanup shall
be accomplished within 4 weeks of opening day. Failure to do so, except in an
extenuating circumstances, will result in penalties as approved on June 21, 1997. 1st
offense-$25.00; 2nd consecutive offense-cancellation of membership. For every other
year game players, 1st offense-$25.00; 2nd offense-$50.00; 3rd offense cancellation of
membership. (Refer to #13)

Will attend at least 50% of the scheduled workdays each year.
Workdays are routinely scheduled to coincide with the regular Sidney Boat Club
membership meetings, held the third Saturday of the month. Additional workdays are
camp opening and closing scheduled by SBC Board of Directors. (Refer to #13)

Will keep all dogs tied and under control.

Shall not construct utility buildings in excess of 100 square feet in bulk
(code) by 8ft. high. No live in structures are permitted. All construction must be
approved by the Property Manager. A building permit is required by the village of
Sylvan Beach.Non conforming use of utility structures is not transferable to any other
site or to any other member.

Will not use electric heaters including electric water heaters .
(Emergency short-term the exception)
20.Y[ ] N[ ]
A $30.00 extra electric usage fee will be charged to any member who
wishes to have an extra refrigerator, freezer, or use their air conditioner. The annual
$30 fee to be established annually by Board of Directors will cover all items and not
per item used. Air conditioners may be used when the camper is occupied. The
annual use permit is to be displayed on the camper. Only factory/dealer installed air
conditioner units may be used.
21.Will not construct nor use outside showers.
22.Y[ ] N[ ]Will not cut any trees without the express consent of the Property Manager,
or the Property Committee.
23.Y[ ] N[ ]Will not occupy more than 1 dock space.
24.23.Y[ ] N[ ]When an applicant remains on the out of county list for >five years, as
a courtesy, they will be extended in county status until such time as an out of
county membership opens.Will use only closed containers (Tote-alongs) for collecting
grey water. Open containers are restricted by the Oneida County Health Department

and Sylvan Beach. The large hose should be used at the dumping station. Tote-alongs
should not be dumped directly on the concrete. .
24. Y[ ] N[ ]
As a courtesy to other campers, all running of power equipment must
be contained within the hours of 9 am and 9 pm.
