Engagement exercise and Q&A to follow
New York City is undertaking the East
Side Coastal Resiliency Project. The
purpose is to reduce the risks from
extreme weather and climate change,
as well as improve quality of life. This
project focuses on neighborhoods near
the East River between Montgomery
and 23rd Streets.
The project builds on HUDs 2014
Rebuild by Design competition. As

with that effort, active community

involvement is a key component of
the projects success. Come to either
meeting to learn and contribute.
Spanish, Mandarin and Cantonese
interpreters will be present.

La presentacin comienza a las 7:00 P.M.
Seguida por un ejercicio de participacin y tiempo para preguntas y respuestas
La Ciudad de Nueva York est
emprendiendo el Proyecto de Resistencia
Costera en el lado Este. El propsito es
reducir los riesgos causados por fenmenos
meteorolgicos extremos y el cambio
climtico, as como mejorar la calidad
de vida. Este proyecto se enfoca en los
vecindarios cercanos al lado este del ro
entre las calles Montgomery y 23rd Street.
El proyecto se basa en reconstruir por
concurso de Diseo del ao 2014 del

HUD. Al igual que con ese esfuerzo, la

participacin activa de la comunidad es
un elemento clave del xito del proyecto.
Venga a cualquiera de las reuniones para
aprender y contribuir. Habr intrpretes de
espaol, mandarn y cantons disponibles.
