I'ma new business development manager... ..80 I look at new business opportunities for the company. I'ma spokesperson for the bank, so I work in the Communication Department. I'ma fund-raising manager for Oxfam. I look after a piece of Oxfam's business which raises money for the developing world. I'ma project manager at Syndicut which involves a lot of liaising with the clients. What company do you work for? I work for Oxfam. We organize big corporate events for many many different kinds of corporate customers. At the moment I work for Dresdner Bank. It's a big German bank. I work for Syndicut Communications which is a communications agency Where do you work? I work in Oxford in a big ... a large office building with about 700 people. We work in lovely modern offices in a business park just about ten miles away from Oxford. The bank is based in Frankfurt, but has branches all over the world... ..in New York, in London, in Tokyo, but I'm going to work in Berlin for the Deutsche Bank. Syndicut is based in Abingdon which is a market town just south of Oxford. Can you describe your day? It really depends on the day. Most of the time I'm in the office contacting clients by email, by telephone... ..I'm working on my computer doing new things for the website. Other times I'm out of the office meeting clients, doing presentations. ..just getting out and about and meeting as many people as possible. Well my day starts normally at 8 a.m. and it starts with reading newspapers... .-a lot of newspapers - normally I read five or six newspapers a day... ..and then normally, I have to communicate with journalists.
