HULLAH TIMES
New Semester, New Start

Prayer Requests
Praise God for drawing Nico into a relationship with Himself.
Pray for Nico to quickly grow in his faith
and establish a foundation in the Truth of
the Bible.
Pray for Jared to believe in Gods goodness after the terrible things that hes seen
while overseas in Afghanistan.

Nico is a sophomore at the University of Northern Colorado.

With each new semester students
are presented with opportunities to
make new life choices. At the beginning of this semester, through a
quick survey, we asked students
about their desires to make new
resolutions for 2015. One of the students we met was Nico. On Nicos
survey he said that he would like to
know more about how to have a
relationship with God and he would
like to grow closer to God this year. I
(Brett) was able to set up a time to
meet with Nico and find out more
about his background. He shared
with me that as he was growing up
his parents went to church, but he
never really had a faith of his own in
God and now that he was in college
he could see that he needed to
establish his own faith. After I shared
with him how he can have a personal relationship with God through
faith in Jesus, I asked if he had ever
made a decision to give his life to
Christ before and he said that he
hadnt yet, but was ready to give his
life to Jesus right now, so we prayed
together and he invited Jesus to be
his Savior! Since our initial meeting
Nico has been rather busy and only
able to meet with me once to study
the Bible together. Please pray that
Nico would make time in his schedule to meet with me and to read the
Bible that I gave him.
Although many students come into
the spring semester having some
college experience under their belt,
a few students come in as brand
new students like Dean and Jared,
two freshman who just ended their

tours in the military. Dean has felt

God leading him to be a school
teacher, so after 5 years in the Army
hes starting college. Jared served in
Afghanistan for just under a year
and is coming back into the US with
some questions about Gods goodness after seeing many difficult

Pray for our college men to grow into

men like Jesus who lead and are willing to
sacrifice and serve the needs of the less
fortunate.

things while overseas. Please pray
for Jared to experience Gods love
and goodness and for healing from
the difficult things that he has experienced. Both of these guys have
been a great blessing to our movement of students because of their
willingness to serve and their fresh
perspective on life as a college student.
Another new beginning for 2015 is
something were calling 2:52. Based
on the passage Luke 2:52 which
reads, And Jesus grew in wisdom
and stature, and in favor with God
and man. Were leading the men
in Cru through training events that
will prepare them for manhood after
college. Some of the themes that
weve covered so far are taking
responsibility and rejecting passivity.

Thank you for enabling us to share the

gospel with students like Nico, at such a
crucial time in their life.
